UNA MENTE is pronounced "you-nae-ment-tae" meaning "Of One Mind". The school colours are galant gold and black. The badge bears a pinang tree, the letters "GSS", waves and three lilies (fleur-de-lis). The pinang tree signifies that the school is on Penang Island, the waves symbolise the sea surrounding Penang Island and the "fleur-de-lis" conveys that Penang was formerly known as Prince of Wales Island.
