"Shitan, Jasmine's Guardian Angel"

Your dark brown eyes,
Your raven hair draped over your shoulder,
The same philosophical gaze studying me from a distance.
What are you pondering about now ?

I watch you as you adjust your glasses and
utter out a simple "Hmmm..." while
tinkering with yet another invention.

I look at the "gizmo" in awe.  I'm a little envious.
I wish I could build machines like you do.
You laugh and reply "You flatter me, my friend."

Then I say I love you and you blush.
Do I remind you of a true love you had once long ago ?
Probably not, that's just some foolish fantasy...

But, in an instant, you sweep me off my feet,
And embrace me passionately.
Then, you kiss my lips and tell me...
"We *were* lovers once, but that was in the past...
Now we're just friends, 
I doubt our love would last..."

As if in a trance, I touch your face so tenderly. 
And, I think about what could or could not be...
You are my Guardian Angel, that is what you are to me.
Even though you may not know it, and our love is not meant to be.
You'll always remain a Guardian Angel to me !
