GOOD GUY CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS

CRONO

Crono is a young man destained to save his world. Born in Truce, Crono grew up like any other boy would. The most noticeable characteristics about Crono is that he has a radical red hairdo and has taken up the art of swordsmanship. Prior to his incredible adventure, he lived with his mother and a cat. Nothing is known of his father. Crono is not much of a talker, but he is kinda, generous, and selfless. He would go out of his way to help people, including sacrificing his own life. CRONO's weapon of choice is the Katana.The most powerful Katana he can ever obtain is the Rainbow Katana, created from the enchanted Rainbow Shell. Rainbow katana permitts him to inflict critical blows to his enimies 73% of the time. In his journeys, he acquires the magic of Lightning. The most powerful Lightning spell Crono learns is Luminaire, which inflicts intense light damage to all enimies.

MARLE

Her real name is (princess) NADIA, but she probably would not tell you her real name though. She grows up as princess of GUARDIA KINGDOM, but she did not like the beniits of royalty. Marle found castle life a bor and she longed for adventure, and fun. Her mother Queen Aliza died many years ago, and before Marle's grand adventure, she was not in good terms with her father KING GUARDIA XXXIII. On the day when the Millenial Fair commenced, Marle decided to leave her royal home in seceret and go to the fair to have some fun and adventure.Before she left for the fair, she picked up her trusty crossbow and quiver of bolts. While she was at the fair, she felt out of place for she had not ventured outside the castle gounds much before. Wondering arround the center of the fair where the Leene Bell was located, a young man(CRONO) accidently ran into her. In that instant, the Leene Bell rang. The grand adventure would begin from that point.Marle is a sweet Girl, but many years isolated in the castle had made her somewhat negative. Being a very good-natured person, she gives off an aura that would comfort her friends. She comes to like Crono during the course of the adventure. When she becomes angry one should watch out. The general advice is don't ever mess with a woman with a crossbow. During the adventure she learns the magic of ICE. The most useful spell she learns is Life2 which can bring a party member back to life after he/she has fallen.

LUCCA

Lucca is the single daughter of Taban and Lara. At an early age, Lucca demonstrated incredible ingenuity and intellence. She enjoys designing and creating new inventions and assisting her father, who is also an inventor. She and her father built the Telepod, an invention that was to teleport one person from one pod to another.Marle's pendant reacted violently to the Telepod's energy flow, resulting in the opening of a time gate. Thus, the adventure began. Lucca is a good friend of Crono's every since their early childhood and they grew up in the same town. Being an inventor, Lucca designes her own weapon of choice: a GUN. The most powerful gun she can obtain is the WONDERSHOT, capable of immense damage, but the damage varies from small the large quantites. She also carries arround a mallet, good for repair tasks and attacking in MELEE. She obtains the magic of FIRE during the adventure. The most powerful spell she learns is FLARE, which burns all enimies in the area.

AYLA

Ayla was from 65,000,000 BC. She was a very strong female with great endurance. She admired strength in people. Ayla was the leader of her people from a village called Ioka. They often had to deal with neighboring villages and the Reptiles, a race of reptilians with humanoid characteristics. Later, Crono and his allies would help Ayla save her village by eliminating the Reptiles, led by Azala.

Ayla's strength was incredible. Consequently, she used no weapons for her fists did all the damage. Her strength made magic unnecessary for her.

Like Marle, this is not a woman to anger.

FROG

Frog was a renowned swordsman of 600 AD. Frog served as the protector and defender of the kingdom of Guardia. His skill with the broadsword was legendary.

Frog was not always in the form he was now. Long ago, he came into the world as Glenn. As a young child, he was rather weak and was picked upon. One day, a bunch of children were bullying Glenn around. Another kid, slightly older than Glenn came to his aid. His name was Cyrus. They became really good friends. Later on, they both enlisted in the king's army. Glenn never enjoyed fighting, but demonstrated incredible talent with a broadsword. His swordsmanship exceeded that of Cyrus. Cyrus observed Glenn's sword skills and encouraged him to continue practicing. Eventually, Cyrus was promoted to a knight, although Cyrus felt Glenn was more deserving. In any case, Sir Cyrus accepted Gleen as his squire and they traveled the kingdom taking on evil and protecting the kingdom.

Then, the war against the Mystics began. Sir Cyrus and Glenn eventually met up with Magus, the leader of the Mystics. Magus incinerated Sir Cyrus and transformed Glenn to his frog form. Ever since then, Frog swore to avenge Cyrus and destroy Magus. Unfortunately, Frog lost two very special items that were dear to him. The first item was the Hero Medal, a symbol of courage and valor. Sir Cyrus had wrested it from the Frog King. When Sir Cyrus fell to Magus, Frog became its new owner. Fate, however, was not on his side, as he lost the medal in his journeys. The second object to be lost was Masamune, the magical sword of the ages. It once was wielded by Sir Cyrus, and when he fell, the enchanted sword was passed on to Frog. Alas, over time, Masamune shattered into two pieces: the hilt and the blade. It was not until the grand adventure that the medal and sword were recovered.

Frog's weapon of choice was a broadsword. His most powerful weapon was Masamune ( Grad-Leon ), an enchanted sword created from the metal Dreamstone. It is known to wreak havoc on enchanted beings. During the grand adventure, Frog learned Water magic. His most powerful spell was Frog Squash, which flattened all enemies and grew more potent as he grew weaker.

ROBO

Robo was a robot built in the future, some time prior to the Day of Lavos (1999 AD). Robo malfunctioned and shut down during the chaos when Lavos arose from the earth. Lucca discovered Robo in one of the abandoned cities and reactivated him. Observing that much has changed since his last recollection, Robo decided to join Crono's party in the grand adventure. Robo is a loyal ally to the end.

Robo used the strength in his arms to inflict damage on enemies. In addition, he had additional weapon systems to deal with enemies, particularly laser and energy-based weapons. Because of his technological superiority, he needs no magic.

MAGUS

Magus was a mysterious man. His early years could be traced back to the Kingdom of Zeal, circa 12,000 BC when he was known as Janus. As a young child, he exhibited great talent in magic. Unfortunately, he had an ego to go with it. Her sister, Schala, saw the incredible power her younger brother wielded, and realized it would one day exceed her powers, but she still raised him as lovingly as possible. Magus never forgot that and continued to search for her sister after Lavos was defeated, for he was convinced she was still alive.. Magus was a man who preferred to operate alone. He admired strength and despised weakness.

Many had considered him to be evil, but during the grand adventure, it became apparent that there was still humanity left in him. Magus had a philosophical outlook on life. One thing that was a credit to him wash is integrity. He was steadfast in his principles.

Unfortunately, their mother, Empress Zeal, was more concerned with making her kingdom more powerful than taking care of her children. Empress Zeal searched for a source of intense magical power, but unwittingly stumbled upon the energy signature of Lavos, which had been embedded in the planet since 65,000,000 BC. Against the advice of her three wise men, Empress Zeal sought to harness this power. The Mammon Machine was constructed to harness such power. A malfunction, however, opened several time gates, which forced Janus and the three wise men into different eras. Janus arrived in 600 AD, and was brought up by Ozzie, an evil demon who led the Mystics. It was from this point forth that Janus would be known as Magus.

Magus' talent with magic soon made him the leader of the Mystics. Then, he waged war against the humans. The reason for this was and probably will remain unclear. During this time, Magus was trying to summon Lavos in an attempt to eliminate it. It was not known as to why he wanted to do this, but Crono and his allies soon interrupted his plans. This added another complex twist into the scheme of things, which over the course of the grand adventure, would soon be unraveled.

Magus' wields a scythe for his weapon. His deadliest weapon was DoomSickle (though DoomScythe sounds better, in my opinion), which increased its attack power if an ally fell in battle. When stronger measures were required, he used his powerful Shadow magic. The most potent of these spells was DarkMatter, which attacks his enemies with the dark energy of the void.
