I have been interested in drawing and painting since I was a child. I don't remember a time when I wasn't doodling or drawing in some fashion. I took a couple art classes (Jr. High and College) but was never very serious about it. I almost completely quit after I got married and was working full time but about 10 years ago, I decided I should try my hand at it again. I started out with pencil sketching because of the fact that since I am partially color blind, I had never had much success with oils, acrylics or water colors. My pencil sketches eventually evolved into ink as the medium using an old fashioned dip-style pen. I really enjoyed this technique but soon discovered a pen such as is used in technical drawing and found this made the drawing process much easier and more precise. I concentrated on developing and refining my technique, with more attention to detail. As I am almost completely self-taught, I most likely do things a little out of the norm but since I do this for my own sanity and enjoyment, that is alright with me as long as someone else can admire my drawings. I hope you enjoy my work and I would be flattered if you would e-mail me and let me know what you think. I have prices on these works but honestly have them here for the enjoyment of visitors to this page. I have donated several to family functions such as family reunions and take great satisfaction in knowing something of mine adorns the home of a family member or friend.
