concr. A DESERT:--BARREN,
DROUGHT, DRY (LAND, PLACE),
SOLITARY PLACE, WILDERNESS.
It is imperative that you understand:
This is YOUR life being talked
about: barren (of desire, self-interests, self-will,
self-promotion, etc.); a drought
of the same; dry of the same: a personality bereft
of its own propensities, barren
and dry of its own idiosyncracies, its own strengths,
its own weaknesses; barren,
dry of "ITS"!
solitary: SELF AND ITS
CONCERNS LEFT BEHIND;
nothing from "self" that is
interesting to think, say, promote; in the desert of
"self-life": having now nothing
of self, nothing to "gaze at", "improve", "fret over", "pick at", "mourn"
- "it" being of NO consequence whatsoever, seeks only LIVING WATER:
A PERSON!!!
TO SEEK HIS FACE, TO FIND OUT
WHO HE IS, HOW HE IS, WHY HE IS.
NOTHING...NOTHING...NOTHING
ELSE PREOCCUPIES, NAY, EVEN
REGISTERS ON ONE'S RADAR! NAUGHT
BUT THE AGENDA OF MEETING HIM "FACE-TO-FACE"!!! TO BE READY FOR THAT
APPEARING, THAT HOLY ENCOUNTER.
PEACE[-FUL] IN
THE DESERT.
QUIET WITHIN.
