All BEAM teams were received at the Lucknow airport / railway station and accorded a warm welcome by the staff of City Montessori School, Lucknow, India. Seen below is the American team from Pojoaque High School, New Mexico.

A grand ceremony marked the opening of the 6th BEAM games in India. National anthems of all nine countries from four continents were played. Dr. Waldemar Gorzkowski, persident of the International Physics Olympiad and Chairperson of QUANTA International Science Competitions formaly declared the BEAM games open.
The canadian team from Hunting Hills high School, Alberta, Canada, walked away with the highest honors. They merited in 14 BEAM events.
