Central Coast CA -- Saturday/Sunday, January 17-18, 1998 brought sunny skies to the Central California Coast and hopes for many anglers dipping their lines into the "resting" Pacific surf.
Jack's weekend began with a cast off the Cayucos Pier, a short stay that provided no personal pleasure, but the sighting of a horned shark. Morro Bay rocks provided a little more action with the landing of a 8-lb Black Sea Bass and a few of his friends.
The next day, Jack headed up Highway 1 and stopped at San Simeon Pier, with few bites but perhaps the best catch of the trip: a fishing pole in 18 feet of salty mess. Later the same day, Jack broke squid at the Santa Cruz Wharf where he found his good friends "bully" and "his highness". Jack and Steve will be cuttin' bait on Friday evening, January 23 at the Santa Cruz Wharf. Wish us "good creature hunting."
