Jack McLaughlin, Tim and Riley O'Neill, Holding Two of Three Pacific Coho Salmon Caught in Monterey Bay
|
SANTA CRUZ, CA -- Saturday, April 18th was a great day for Salmon fishing on Monterey Bay: 22' Team O'Neill Boston Whaler, Twin Mercury 115's and reports of limits on the radio.
After donating two cannonballs and a downrigger to the Pacific, Tim chased the skunk off the boat with a nice seven-pounder. Jack, in the meantime, was catching his limit of mackeral using a flasher with 'chovie.
Switching to flashers and a white hoochie, Jack and Tim, on their way in, had a double hook-up! After traveling up and down the hill a few more times, they gave up on the limit.
With three in the box, Tim used all 230 horses and headed back to the harbor for a little pleasure cruise with the family. Fish on and "good creature hunting."
