The very first episode of DiGimon. Tai does the narration; saying how the earth's climate suddenly changed. The animation shows all that's happening to the earth. Ice caps melting, floods the color of chocolate crash into towns, snow storms, cities that are hot turn freezing cold and much more. But Tai doesn't know this, since he's at camp. In fact nobody at camp knows.
The animation goes to Tai, lying down on a tree branch. A thick black frame, frames Tai's head and on the bottom, in white letters read: Taichi "Tai" Kamiya. Tai introduces himself through narration. He does so for all the other six main characters. There's Joe, Matt, Mimi, TK, Sora, Izzy. For each character, Tai tells about each of their personalities. Joe's the hysterical one, "don't scare him or he might just pee his pants!" as Tai says. "Sora's okay....for a girl." "There's Matt, this guy's full of attitude; just look at his hair!" "Oh and there's TK, Matt's dopey little brother." "There's Mimi, one look and I guess you'll know her favorite color." Mimi is wearing, a peach colored 'cowboy hat' and a long pink dress. "That's Izzy, he should of went to computer camp."
Everyone is doing their own activity when suddenly snowflakes start to fall; in the middle of July! The camp counsellors all put the kids back into their cabins. When the snow stops falling, and the whole camp-site is buried with snow, our heros start to come out. Tai is disappointed that the canoe races are cancelled, but they can always have toboggan races! Everyone thinks it pretty weird that it snowed. When everyone is out examining the freshly fallen snow, they even see the northern lights!
Everyone think's it's very weird to see the northern lights. A black hole opens up and spits out seven meteriod-like things. The things fall and crash into the snow. Everyone's alright but really shaken as to what the thing was. Slowly, the meteriod-like things rise up. The meteriod-like things slow down in front of the kids' faces. From the shot, each floating 'thing' is blue with a light aura. Each seven fallen objects stop in front of the seven kids. They reach out and hold the objects. Izzy examines it and says "it's a kind of small remote digital device". These digital devices, are the size of the kids' palms, in a way it looks like a digital watch's face (just without the straps).
In a few minutes the sky turns a deadly color. It's surf up for the kids! A huge tidal wave opens up on the kids and sucks everyone in!
A voice is heard from the black screen, slowly Tai opens his eyes. The voice... "Tai.....hey wake up..." Tai is shocked!!! On his chest is a bubbly pink cReAtUrE! Tai bolts up, eyes wide with surprise. The creature just smiles and looks satisfied. "What are you?" Tai asks nervously. The creature's name is Koromon "...and that means brave little warrior, and don't you forget that!" Koromon introduces himself as Tai's partner. Koromon also means talking head. In the bushes, someone appears. It's Izzy! Followed by another one of those pink creatures. "Call me Motimon, " the creature says. Izzy figures out that each of the digi-vices they received must come with a lifeform. The boys ask where they are, Motiomon answers. They are in Digi-World.
Tai climbs the tree close-by and examines the area. He sees the beach with his mini telescope. Soon Koromon joins him. Tai thinks it odd they're near a beach, they didn't even camp near a beach. Tai sees something else. A big red beetle?! Heading straight towards him! Koromon decides to join Tai and sees the big insect too. The beetle is HUGE! It dives straight toward Tai and Koromon and takes a mouthful of the tree top. The animation zooms to Kuwagamon. Motimon gives out the information. Kuwagamon is an insectoid with razor sharp teeth and a scissor head that can cut through anything! Tai and Koromon dodges just in time, Kuwagamon turns around and heads straight towards Tai! Koromon bounces up and spits a hard pink bubble-like substance at Kuwagamon's head. It doesn't even flinch. Kuwagamon knocks Koromon down and Tai quickly jumps down to see his friend. Koromon is alright and Tai is impressed by Koromon's brave action. Kuwagamon is heading towards the group, they run for it. Motimon has a plan. Motimon tells everyone to follow him, he jumps towards a tree trunk and disappears. Izzy, Tai and Koromon follow and find themselves in a hollow metallic tree. Motimon calls it the 'hiding tree'. They wait and listen to Kuwagamon's fierce cry to past.
"All clear," a familiar voice says. Everyone comes out of the tree and sees Sora with a radish like creature. It is Yokomon. They are joined by TK and Matt. Tokomon follows TK and Matt holds Tsunomon. Joe's scared voice can be heard also. Screaming. Joe is terrified by the creatures and he's followed by one also, it's name is Bukamon. The creatures introduce themselves and say they are "digimon, digital monsters". Tai introduces everyone himself, but someone's missing. Mimi! From a distance a cry for help is heard. She's being chased by Kuwagamon, and her digimon is Tanemon. They all meet and run for it.
Oh no, a dead end. The group is on the tip of the cliff. No where to go. Kuwagamon goes after Tai, seeing Tai in danger, Koromon shoots the pink bubbles. It failed to harm Kuwagamon but it did steer it's direction away from Tai, now it's going after Koromon. The two collide and Koromon is bounces roughly off Kuwagamon. The others help also with their pink bubble power. Kuwagamon falls into the trees, but quickly gets back up. The kids' digimon are knocked down. The kids feel sorry for them, and doesn't let them attack. The digimon break free and stand up to battle. The kids cry "NO!"
A bright light shines in the sky, and seven rays escape from it and onto the digimon. Digi-volve All the little pink digimon, digi-volved into bigger tought digimon. (if you wanna know more, click here) They attack all together. Biyomon's Spiral Twister, Patamon's boom bubbles, Agumon's fire breath etc. Kuwagamon falls in defeat back into the trees. Everyone's relieved and run toward each other, hugging and laughing. CRASH! It's back! Kuwagamon takes it's scissor head and jams it into the cliff, forming a huge horizontal crack. The tip of the cliff broke with everyone falling with it! A zoom-in of the situation is seen. So will they fall to their doom right after meeting their cool new friends? Last episode, out heroes are falling from a cliff because Kuwagumon broke the cliff edge, with it's piercing 'antler-like' antennas. The digimon call out their partner's names like, "TK!" "Joe!" Palmon tries to use her poison ivy to grab a hold on the rock face and Mimi hangs on. It holds on, but the rock face is just not stable. The rock breaks and Mimi and Palmon plunge down into the water. Gomamon calls out "FISH NET!" A whole school of multi-colored fish float up on top and catches everyone. The heroes breath a sigh of relief, not for long! Kuwagumon falls also, because of it's massive weight. Kuwagumon falls and sets a huge tidal wave right to the group!
Luckily, they all get washed up on shore. Gomamon explains "those fish are good friends of mine". Agumon explains what happened to them. They digi-volved Tai doesn't understand, but Izzy does. Izzy explains that "digi-volve is what happens when they advance to the next level and become more powerful." Tai nods and understands, "when you guys digi-volved, you sure got a lot bigger." The digimon are still digimon. It was a difficult process, but with the kids' energy they could do it. Tehy share energy, even the Digimon don't know why.
Mimi can't take all that information in her head and says, "this whole thing makes my head spin-ny." Joe wants a plan and demands for a telephone or a pay phone. Matt objects and says he wants to explore around here. All they know is that they came from the mountain. Sora wants to find the reason they are brought here. Tai askes if there are more huge Digimon like Kuwagumon, unfortunately there is! The kids find out that they are the first humans to come to the Digi-World. Matt observes that it never seems to get dark. Izzy saw it too. He says, "it'll be unnatural". When Tai was up on the mountain, he saw a beach. He hopes to find a boat of some kind and go home. Everyone agrees and heads off, leaving Joe there to complain. "hey Joe, everyone's leaving!" Gomamon points out. Joe and Gomamon follow the group. The kids talk amongst themselves, saying how the enviroment is so different. Joe is still complaining and getting on Matt's nerves. "Joe, is there anything you don't complain about?" Matt says.
Each kid chats with their own digimon. Izzy seems puzzled and askes why the digital monsters are called that. They don't look a bit machine-like. Tentomon explains they like being called Digimon, than digital monsters. He shows a bit of machine-like sparks. TK askes Patamon if he can fly, Patamon tries. But he can only fly fly a few inches....backwards. He and Biyomon try to fly but, "isn't it easier to just walk?" Sora points out, seeing flying is such hard work. Mimi talks about Palmon's hair, asking her "I've been meaning to ask you, who does your hair?" Palmon replys "It's natural, I wake up like this.....don't you think you put too much emphasis on self image?" Mimi takes that in and ponders in her thoughts. Gabumon smells the aroma of the ocean therefore.....the beach! ring....ring....ring... "What's that?" Tai askes. "Sound like a telephone, or maybe we're all hearing things," Sora wonders. They follow the ringing.
Five lone telephone booths stand mysteriously on the beach. The kids find it, but by the time they reach it, whoever called hanged up already. Each kid and digimon try out all the phones. All they got were weird answers. 'the time is 50 miles per hour and ninety seconds' or 'please hang up and don't call again'. The kids are all discourage and sit down to rest, all except Joe who's desperately to contact someone.
grrr..ow...lll Tai's stomach growls and askes for food. They find the digi-vices that they received prior to coming to the Digi-World. Izzy has the idea of taking it apart but his growling stomach distracts him. The kids decide to find out what everyone brought. They unpack. Sora has her first-aid kit, bandages and medicine. Tai has his mini telescope Izzy brought his digital camera, lap-top and cellular phone Matt brought nothing TK brought a bag full of food! surprisingly Mimi brought cooking fuel, a compass (that doesn't work) "the knives with all the stuff" and a flashlight. after telling Joe to join them, Joe brought the other bag full of food. He was going to tell Mimi to carry it
Dividing the food seemed simple, Joe and Izzy calculated that they would have enough food for three days. They learned from Gabumon that Digimon can fend for themselves and find food for themselves. Meanwhile, Tai and Agumon are hungrily eating the food.
A rumbling in the distance wakes Gomamon up from his wading in the ocean. Biyomon senses it too. A distant rumbling. A huge blast of water shoots out from underneath the sand and knocks down all the telephone booths. "This way!" Joe exclaims, climbing the hill behind them. A huge shell with numerous horns protruding out arises. Soon a head, arms and legs appear. The screen zooms in and the Digimon's name appears. It is Shellmon. "Attacked by two digital monsters in one day, doesn't Shellmon know I'm allergic to shell fish?" Joe complains. Tentomon explains to the group that Shellmon is a Digimon that gets mad for no reason. Shellmon blasts a gush of water towards Joe, knocking him down. Then he blasts water at Gomamon and knocks him out too.
The Digimon are ready to battle. Agumon fires his Fire Breath and hits Shellmon square in the face. Gabumon attacks with Blue Blaster, Biyomon with Spiral Twister, Patamon with Boom Bubbles, Palmon with poison ivy......nothing happens. The Digimon all except Agumon can attack. Why? It is because Agumon was the one that ate and replenished his strength. The others get knocked around by Shellmon. Only Agumon remain, "looks like it's up to you and me, Agumon" Tai says. Agumon needs a distraction to attack, Tai runs over and grabs a huge stick and hits Shellmon with it. Shellmon doesn't even flinch. It grabs Tai with it's tentacle-like green 'hair'. Agumon attacks Shellmon again, but Shellmon got his arm covering Agumon. They're trapped!
Tai is slowly being crushed, the others are being blasted by water what to do? "D-i-G-i-v-o-l-v-e!!!" A flash of light comes from Agumon and the screen flashes to Agumon. Agumon is spinning with lots of letters and Japanese characters flying around in the background. Agumon digi-volve to.....Greymon!
Now Agumon/Greymon is bigger (same size as Shellmon), full of muscles and blue stripes with a metal-thing on it's head that has three horns. One on the nose, one on the left side of head and one on the right side of the head. Greymon goes after Shellmon, Shellmon throws Tai down. Fire vs. Water who will win? Steam erupts from the middle Greymon fires his attack...."Digi Nova Blast!!!" A huge fireball erupts from Greymon's powerful jaws and blasts Shellmon away into the distance. Greymon won the battle! Light shines from Greymon's body and shrinks, he is now Agumon again. Agumon lies down and is totally wiped out. Tai runs toward him and holds him up. "Tai? Tai. " A tired Agumon says. Tai is relieved that Agumon is alright.
The kids give the food to the Digimon to eat and revive their strength. The team decides to explore through the Digi-World to find people or whoever it was that built the telephone booths. Everyone leaves with a new recovered hope and they all walk toward mysterious places where adventure will find them.
Agumon digi-volved to Greymon (a huge T-Rex type of digimon) to save Tai and the group. Shellmon was no match for Greymon's "Digi-Nova-Blast!" Right after blasting Shellmon to the horizon, Greymon digi-volved back to Agumon.
The episode starts off with the group all standing on a cliff. Tai has a thoughtful expression on his face, he's recalling the epic battle between Shellmon and Greymon. "Hey Agumon, I kinda like it when you were Greymon; no offense. Why don't you just stay that way?" Tai askes. Agumon cannot stay as Greymon. "Even superheroes need rest, Tai" Agumon explains.
They here a nasty snarl. They all turn around and see Monochromon. The screen zooms in on Monochromon, and it's name is on top in green lime colors. It's a Triceratops-like digimon, but more metallic. Tentomon explains that Monochromon is a laid back digimon, but it can be a bit upset when hungry. Monochromon opens it's massive jaws and lets out a growl. It starts it's way towards the group.
The group look behind to find a way out. They're surprised to see another Monochromon there. "Caught between a rock and two sets of teeth!" Matt comments. The two Monochromon start charging at each other. Everyone quickly scrambles behind the rock. The Monochromon dukes it out with each other. But why? Tentomon understands now, they're fighting over terriotory. The group all start to run away, as far away from the Monochromon as possible. TK suddenly stumbles and falls to the ground. Matt rushes him and hurries him along. While this is happening, the Monochromon are literally biting each other. One Monochromon is biting the other's tail. They collide with horns ablaze. Eventually they fall over the cliff and fall into the water below.
"My feet hurt," Mimi complains. Izzy observes that they're losing their light source and they better find a place to camp. Tentomon senses water, and flies ahead to check it out. He reports it's a lake with fresh clean water and a variety of tasty fish. It'll make a great campsite. Gomamon can't wait to swim and starts to run forward, Joe grabs his tail and warns him to make sure it's safe. The group arrives, in the middle of the lake they see electical poles but they aren't connected to anything. When they start to argue where to sleep, they see a bus perched on top of a huge rock 'island'. The lights of the bus suddenlt blink on. They all decide to go in and examine the bus, to check for people. Nobody is in the bus. Izzy notices that how clean the bus is. The group spreads out to find food.
Bubbles appear in the water and Gomamon's head pops up and smiles and wades in one direction. Izzy and TK are fishing right next to him. "Gomamon stop playing in the water, I can't catch any fish." Izzy says. The screen cuts to Tentomon, he's collecting berries. Below him are Agumon and Patamon. Patamon's on Agumon head and prepares for one of his powerful gusts of breath. He blasts it and knocks a fruit out of a tree right on top of Gabumon's horn. Biyomon laughs and goes off to pick fruit off a tree. Palmon warns Mimi she's picking bad mushrooms that will make her sick.
Back at the campsite, Sora, Matt and Tai are finished making a campfire. How will they light it? Agumon helps out with his fiery breath. "Wow Agumon, your the man!" Tai comments excitedly. Agumon blushes. Izzy and TK caught a lot of fish. Tai grabs one and holds it over the fire to cook and does a little dance to dodge the flames. Matt sticks a stick through the fish and steadies it over the fire. "How you come up with an idea like that Matt?" Tai askes. "Cause I'm the man," Matt says.
The fish grow crispy and everyone chows down. TK says he only eats fish sticks, Matt says he won't tell. TK doesn't want to eat with his fingers because Mom doesn't let him. "TK it's alright," Matt says, annoyed. "Your with the big boys now, " Tai jokes. TK bites into the fish.
Tai walks over to Sora, who's getting water. They discuss how Matt doesn't treat TK like a brother but more like a bother. "Matt's just learning to be a big brother," Sora explains. Joe walks in staring at the sky. He can't seem to find the North Star. Sora doesn't recognize any of the constellations either. Tai reminds them, that their forgetting their astronomy. If you can't see the North Star, you're in the Southern hemisphere. Could they really be?
After their dinner, the Digimon are all tired and going to sleep. Izzy suggests someone stay guard. Everyone stands guard for one hour. Matt jumps up and says, "Not TK." TK whines, he wants to stand guard. "You are too young and you need rest." Matt argues.
Mimi complains, she's cold and wants a warm blanket. Tai looks and Gabumon menacingly. He holds Gabumon's loose fur and says, "Hey Gabumon, Mimi might sneak up on you. She might steal your fur. So if you feel a little tug, it might be her trying to snip your tail off!" Gabumon is offended and replies, "Stop it Tai! It's not funny," and Gabumon runs off. Matt gets angry and shoves Tai away. "Why'd you do that?" Tai says. "Gabumon said stop it," Matt shoots back. They both grab each other's shirts and looks angrily at each other's eyes. "Hey guys! Stop fighting!" someone cries. They both release each other and turns around, back to back. Joe says to both of them they would make great guards, who'll start first? They both want to. Joe makes up a schedule of guard, Tai will stand guard first. They all slowly go to sleep.
Matt instructs Gabumon, "go over and go lay down with my brother." Gabumon asks "why?" Matt hides his feelings and doesn't want anyone to know about them. "Your fur's making me sweat!" Gabumon knows that Matt wants him to keep TK warm, Matt just doesn't want to show it. He goes over and cuddles with Gabumon. TK notices the warmth and thanks Matt, TK sleeps. Matt turns around, face all red. He's embarrasses that he showed his feelings. He steps outside to get some air.
Tai's with Agumon, they're sitting beside the fire. Tai just can't keep his eyes open. He goes over to the lake to splash some water on his face. He steps over a red material in the ground. The red material wiggles and settles. Bubbles appear in the water and settle. No one notices. At the edge of the island, Tai is splashing water in his face to keep warm. He notices someone behind him. "Who's there?!" Tai asks. Tai notices Matt standing there. Matt apologizes for what happened after dinner. He explains how coming to a new world and looking after TK is so hard, and that he's stressed. "Don't you guys even live in the same house?" Tai asks. "Not anymore. We're half brothers. We don't see each other much." Matt explains. Tai understands now, Matt runs over the beach (off the rock 'island') Tai returns to Agumon and comments on how wierd Matt is.
At the beach, Matt sits against a tree. He plays on his harmonica, a vivid tune. Gabumon is with him and says "what a wonderful sound." In the bus TK hears it too and gives a tired smile. He gives a sigh and goes back to sleep, pleased to hear his big brother's lullaby for him.
Tai warns Agumon to be careful of the fire sparks. A spark hits the red material on the ground. The rock 'island' trembles and everyone is immediantly awake. Seadramon appears, a sea dragon type of Digimon. It turns out it's tail was the red material. And it's stuck onto the island. It starts to swim and it pulls along the island with it. Tentomon comments on how Seadramon is a bit dense, and that he doesn't know that he's pulling the group along. He accidently hops onto the red material. Now Seadramon notices. Seadramon frees his tail and swims underground. He pushes th island in hopes of it crashing. Matt and Gabumon sees all this happening. Matt wants to save TK and jumps into the water. Matt swims towards the island. Now the island has stopped and is in the middle of the lake. Gabumon contemplates about his fur being wet and then going to be smelly. He jumps in also and swims toward Matt. The Digimon all attack but Seadramon's too powerful and big. "Agumon digi-volve!" Tai commands. Agumon tried already and to no avail. He's still weak after the last battle with Shellmon.
TK sees Matt swimming towards him and runs towards him and falls into the water! Luckily Gomamon was nearby, he jumps in and hangs onto TK. Matt instructs Gomamon to bring TK to safety. Seadramon sees them. Matt distracts his attention and swims off. Gabumon arrives and attacks with his 'blue twister'. Seadramon flicks Gabumon off with his tail, "Ahhh! I hate this...." Gabumon says while flying in the air. Seadramon grabs Matt and wrap it's tail around him. Tentomon explains that when Seadramon finds his prey, it will not let go. Matt is slowly being crushed. TK pleads Patamon to save him, but Patamon's too small. Patamon sees Gabumon and says he's stronger than him. Gabumon agrees, "I don't understand any of this. But I got to save Matt! What's a little stinky fur compared to a friend?" Matt's digi-vice is activated. The screen zooms inside the digi-vice. A set of commands appear and scroll up the screen. Gabumon digi-volve to...Garurumon! Garurumon has the appearance of a white canine with blue stripes and sharp teeth. Garurumon jumps in crashes Seadramon's tail, knocking Matt out of it's grasp. Garurumon jumps onto the back of Seadramona and bites hard. Matt swims away. Tentomon gives some brief information about Garurumon. He says that Garurumon's fur is legendary. It's strong as steel. He's right now like a swimming torpedo. Garurumon swims towards Seadramon and bumps Seadramon. Seadramon is hit each time.
Seadramon uses his lethal ice blast on Garurumon. The ice blast freezes Garurumon. He breaks free and attacks with his "Growling Blaster!" It knocks out Seadramon, everyone cheers. Garurumon digi-volved back to Gabumon. TK is impressed by both his brother and his Digimon partner. Gabumon says to Matt, "Your the man." Matt says to Gabumon, "And your the wolf-man!" Everyone laughs. How will they go back? They're stuck in the middle of the lake. Gomamon jumps into the water and calls out "Fish Power!" All the fish in the lake appear and push the island back.
On the beach, Izzy notices a pattern. Tis time only Gabumon digi-volved. Tai thinks back when Agumon digi-volved to Greymon. They conclude that the digimon only digi-volve when their in danger. They all fall asleep. Tai hears the vivid tune of a lone harmonica. He walks over and sees TK with Matt, his head on his shoulders. Tai smiles and decides not to bother them, he stands behind the tree. "Aah (sigh)...big bro your the best," TK says sleepily and falls into a deep slumber. Matt just keeps on playing his harmonica. Matt understands now, how his brother means so much to him.
The group find telephone poles and follows them into a hot dry desert. The group is tired and hot. Izzy notices that the sand is not normal. It's mixed with tiny bits of metal. Mimi takes out her watch, but it's actually a compass watch. The needle is spinning crazily. "For someone that doesn't need a compass, you sure have a lot," Tai says. Mimi sees Palmon not looking too good. She offers her big 'cowboy' hat to Palmon. Palmon wears it and is much relieved. Biyomon can't take anymore of this hear. Everyone agrees. Sora says," stay positive, let's all think it's raining!" Biyomon snaps out of her gloomy state and runs over and hugs Sora's leg, all happy and relieved. The group finds it dumb to keep on walking. Just then one of the flying black gears flies over head and crashes into the mountain, not far away. Tai brings out his mini telescope and looks around. He sees something! It's a village! They all are renewed with hope to find people, civilization instead of Digimon. They want to go home.
The animation cuts to a black gear, spinning into a rocky hill. It spins and spins and finally breaks through the hill. A flaming Digimon turns around and sees the gear heading straight towards him. The gear comes too fast, no time to dodge. The gear makes it's way to the flaming Digimon's chest and spins until it's inside the Digimon. The Digimon screams in agony.
They are stunned. The group made it toward the village they saw so far away. They tower above the village. "Gee, this village looked bigger from far away," Tai sadly says. Little pink radish-like things start to come forward. They're Yokomon! The previous form of Biyomon. Biyomon communicates with the Yokomons. "Yes, we know they look funny. But in spite of this they're really nice." Biyomon explains what Sora and her friends are. "If you are not Digimon then what are you doing in the Digi World?" The Yokomons all ask. The group doesn't even know what to say. Mimi just thinks they are so cute. She wants to bring one home and put it on her bed.
The Yokomon ask Biyomon questions on how she digi-volved. She tells them how she digi-volved to save her friend Sora. The Yokomon notice Biyomon doesn't speak like them. Biyomon says she picked up from Sora, she and her are best friends. Sora listens to them close by. "So they digi-volve cause of us....we're lucky kids!" she smiles. Biyomon also tells them that her friend Sora and her friends are trying to find home. The Yokomons are happy to let the group stay. They offer the group, refreshing water.
"Wow! A fresh water fountain!" TK says in excitement. The group walk over to the fountain. From it, fresh clear water! The Yokomons say that it is a special kind of water. The water comes from a lake on Mt. Nerawshi. "Best in the galaxy," Tentomon comments. They are about to get some, but suddenly flames shoot up. Luckily no one was hurt. "The water evaporated. That's okay the lake's full of water," One Yokomon says. They all run over to the lake with half of a boat sticking up, *GASP!* All the water's gone! They try the well. Tai drops the bucket, at the end of the well they hear a *CLUNK* Empty. He pulls the bucket back up, but the bucket is missing all that's left is a burnt rope. Flames shoot out of the well.
The group remembers the flying gear, could it have something to do with the water disappearing? "It crashed on a hill side," Izzy comments. They all think maybe the gear crashed into Mt. Nerawshi. The Yokomon say the water is guarded by a firey Digimon called Meramon. Tai takes out his mini telescope and checks out the Mountain. He sees something. Something's falling down the mountain. It looks like a human figure with flames and a flaming head with stitches on it's mouth. "He's coming! He's coming our way!" Tai sees, a firey Digimon that's coming down Mt. Nerawshi. "He'll burn everything he touches! This is very strange. He never comes down the Mountain!" The Yokomon say and they jump up and down with fear. "Too hot....too hot. I'm too hot!" "It looks like he's crying" Tai comments. "Meramon is a firey Digimon. He shouldn't feel any pain from his own flames. That's his nature," Palmn explains. "Sounds like he's mad with pain!" Tai says.
Meramon reaches the desert. Sora commands everyone to freeze. "Don't move a muscle" When Meramon reaches closer to them Tai yells out, "Unfreeze and run!" All the Yokomons are screaming and bouncing up and down with fear. They all make a huge pile toward the ship. A huge pink broad line is running straight toward the ship. "Easy now you'll be okay," Tai says to the bewildered Yokomon. Tai and Sora are standing at the entrance to the ship. "Move to the rear," Sora commands. On the ship, Matt, TK, Izzy, Mimi and Joe are there. "There's room enough for everyone, stop squirming!" Matt says. "Who's not here?" Sora asks, when all the Yokomon are in the ship. Sora realizes Biyomon is still up on the hill instructing the last of the Yokomons to go to the ship. "Biyomon save yourself!" Sora calls out. "I can't leave here until all my friends are safe, Sora," Biyomon says. "Well then, I'll have to come up there with you." Sora runs toward Biyomon. When all the Yokomon are gone, Biyomon sighs a sigh of relief. "Ah good, they're all safe."
"Watch out Biyomon, he's right behind you!" Sora calls out. Meramon appears behind Biyomon, he swipes at her. Biyomon rolls down the cliff. Sora leaps and catches Biyomon "Are you okay?" "I hope, I don't do that again. That wasn't really fun. Thanks for coming and saving me," Biyomon thanks Sora. "Don't mention it, that's what friends are for" Sora says. "My friend." They hug. Meramon is still a threat. Biyomon flys up towards him. "It's my turn to save you now," She calls. "SPIRAL TWISTER!" and it shoots on his chest. "Take that, and that and that!" Meramon doesn't seem to be hurt, "is that the best you can do?!" The other digimon come out and attack Meramon. Meramon forms a ball of fire on his hand, "Fire ball!" and throws it at Biyomon. She falls down to the ground. The others attack but it just seems to make Meramon grow stronger and larger.
"If we figure out why he's crying maybe we can help him out, I'm guessing it isn't hurt burn" Tai says. "Maybe this monster just has growing pains," Matt comments. "Growing Pains?! Matt this isn't a good time to joke" Joe says. Meramon decides to burn down the ship and he jumps toward the ship. At that moment Biyomon wakes up and sees Meramon decending towards the ship. "We're all in trouble now. Meramon cannot be allowed to win." Izzy notices Sora's digi-vice shining with a bright light. The screen goes black and a digi-vice is screaming, data is formed into a spiral and inserts itself into Biyomon. Biyomon digi-volve to...BIRDRAMON!!! Birdramon flys up and pushes Meramon away and back up to the hill. "We'll be safe now, Biyomon digi-volved to rescue us," Sora explains. Birdramon flys toward Meramon again, Meramon throws a fire ball at Birdramon's wing. "Move away Birdramon!" Sora suggests. Birdramon follows her commands and charges up for an attack. "METEOR WINGS!" Birdramon unleashes a rain of fireballs at Meramon. It drives out a black gear inside his chest, once out the gear is destroyed into tiny pices. Birdramon digi-volves back and flys into Sora's arms. "Are you alright?" Biyomon asks. Biyomon hugs Sora, "oh Sora."
Meramon is sitting down and it seems he's having a bad head ache. He explains he couldn't stop himself. The last thing he remembered was a black gear hitting him. After telling everyone what happened, Meramon heads back up to Mt. Nerawshi. At night, everyone is very cheerful. They give everyone a bowl of what seems like grains of bird seed. Nobody really want to eat it. TK is just glad it tastes better than broccili, he chows down. Matt is so hungry he eats it anyway. "I'm not sure what the stuff is but I'm sure I'm allergic to it," Joe comments. Everyone laughs. Sora is thinking what happened today and she looks over at Biyomon eating. "For being so little, she sure has a big heart."
The group finally travels out of the desert. Could it be? Is it a mirage? There's three trails of smoke. The group run towards it and sees a factory. They hope to find people in it. They all go in and explore around. They know that the factory builds some sort of 'thing'. They split up in two groups. Matt, Izzy, TK, Mimi and their Digimons find a room with a GIANT power supply. It's a giant battery. "A power supply this big can power a super computer for years!" Izzy exclaims. He goes over to the battery to closely examine it. He finds a door and with Tentomon, he goes in. They find a series of cryptic characters scrawled inside the hollow battery. "Shouldn't a battery have acid in it?" Tentomon asks. Izzy is fascinated. The others want to explore more of the place. They go, leaving Izzy there. He wants to decode the message.
Tai, Sora, Joe and their Digimons find someone stuck underneath a couple of gears. It's Andromon, one of the more advanced type of Digimon. He looks like an Android with one fang sticking out of it's mouth. He is a bit banged up though. They all manage to pull him out. Not known to them, one of the black gears made it's way into Andromon's fractured leg. Sora comments on how he seems like a nice Digimon. Andromon's eyes blink on. "Intruders!" The group senses danger and move away. Andromon stands up and is enraged to see intruders. He attacks! Everyone runs out to the corridor.
Izzy is still inside the battery and he wipes a finger over one of the 'letters'. He discovered the words are eraseable. The whole building's electricity is down. Mimi, Matt, TK and digimon are looking at the products made. They see no point in it. The things are made but then disembled. The lights go out. Tai and his group are running away from Andromon, when the lights go out. They try to sneak away from him. Andromon's eyes light up and he sees the group using his night vision. "Lightning Strike!" A blue energy boomerang shape is formed and Andromon throws it at the group. The group sees it coming and all leap out of the way. The energy crashes into a wall with an explosion. Izzy realizes he deleted the wrong program and draws back the letter with a metallic ink marker. Everything is back up, lights and all. He sits down and types away on his laptop. Tentomon talks to Izzy, asking him why he always want to figure things out. Izzy says it's fun. Tentomon can think of more things much better than this, like sitting on a beach and relaxing. He asks Izzy if he has a secret he's hiding. Izzy looks up and remembers....(a flashback) He is standing behind a door, he peeps through and stumbles onto a conversation his Dad and Mom are saying. His Mom is telling his Dad to say something to him, "when he eventually finds out, it'll just hurt him" His Dad says, "He's still to young, we cannot tell him." (back to the present.) Izzy concentrates on decoding the message. Something happens to his laptop, the info he's been typing jumps out of formation and forms something. It forms the location they are in and the whole island. Tentomon lights up and he's burning up. "Ow, ow ow, I've never danced like this before!" Izzy turns off the laptop to save his friend. They both run out to meet their friends.
Matt and the group are waiting for him on top of a building. Izzy tells them of his discovery, that all information in this world is a liveable substance. Tai and his group burst in all out of breath. Behind them is a Digimon, Tai explains what happened. Andromon charges up for another attack. "Lightning Strike!" The group dodges again. The digi-vice light up. Agumon digi-volve to...GREYMON!!! Gabumon digi-volve to...GARURUMON!!! Greymon and Garurumon both fight Andromon but they are no match. Greymon's Nova Blast doesn't work, Andromon blocks it. Garurumon's Growling Blaster has no affect either. Andromon's Lightning Strike hits Garurumon square in the forehead. Andromon grabs Greymon's horns and throws him over at Garurumon. Tentomon tells Izzy, that the program he inputted might be the code for his digi-volution. Izzy understands and inputs the same program back in. A digi-vice is screaming, data is swirling around in circles and is absorbed by Tentomon. Tentomon digi-volve to...KABUTERIMON!!! Kabuterimon looks like an insect/machine digimon with six arms. A horn is on his head which looks like a helmet. Kabuterimon flys towards Andromon. He caught him by surprise. Andromon is knocked, but he isn't out yet. Kabuterimon just misses his Lightning Strike and missles. Izzy sees a weak spot on Andromon's leg. He informs Kabuterimon. Kabuterimon charges for an attack..."ELECTRO SHOCKER!" a ball of electrical energy is formed, he throws it at Andromon's leg. Kabuterimon did it! The black gear is driven out and is destroyed.
Everything is back to normal now. Andromon apologizes for his trouble. "I cannot answer your questions on how you got here, but I do know a way out of this building," he shows the group a huge pipe. "Through this pipe is the ways out." The group thanks Andromon and go through the pipe. TK asks if Izzy could input the program again, so Izzy can make Patamon digi-volve. Izzy opens his laptop and inputs the program, nothing happens and all the information vanished. Izzy doesn't understand. Tai and Agumon offer to help, "just a few wacks on the back will help," they run towards Izzy's laptop. Izzy see them both coming at opposite directions, Izzy steps forward just in time too. Tai and Agumon accidently punched each other on the head. The group all laugh at them. They begin their adventure again, walking through the sewer this time. What will await them there?
