An Optional Add-On for Character Generation

In the Classic Star Trek episode Court Martial, the computer reads off Captain Kirk's service record and it is filled with awards and citations. Now your character can have an illustrious service record too. Every time you roll an "outstanding" OER during character generation, you can check to see if your character was decorated and if so, exactly what decoration Star Fleet Command, in its infinite wisdom, has seen fit to bestow upon him/her. The referee may choose rather than dice for a specific decoration. You should then invent a properly heroic incident for which your character received the decoration.

There are also special awards for achieving high skill levels, graduating with honors, etc. See below for details.
