Special thanks to Gina Hall and Barry Corley. My family and I designed the sheet for this one. Check out www.atomicdawg.com/funk.html for my pic with myself and my 8 year old son, John, with GC. Really lots of fun. We got there around 5pm or so for their practice and talked with Kareem and Garry, and Shawn (I think that was his name). We left to do a couple of things and returned around 7 pm. Then we ran into Barry. A few minutes later, we talked to Marcie G. Barry took us to one of the back dressing rooms and we waited there until show time. John and I talked to a few other people. We met Carlos and Razor back there. P Nut came in also, he went over to the back corner. When we were finally able to get up and go over that way, we saw that he had pulled two chairs together and was taking a nap. So we didn't bother him. Really fun seeing a concert from back stage too. Never had the pleasure of doing that before. We were usually back around the area near the horn section. After the show, we talked to Greg and Blackbyrd for a few minutes. My only regrets are that we didn't get to talk to everyone. John is 8 years old and he enjoyed the show very much. What a way to see his first concert. :-) The sheet turned out the be very interesting too. One side, John designed, and everyone had a little part in it. Even my other son, Steven, helped out. However, Steven is 2 years old, so you can imagine what he did to his area. :-) My wife added some doggie footprints and I added a small space ship and a Funkadelic skull. Let me say, that side turned out to be a little "busy", for a lack of better wording. The other side was designed by my wife, she was a much better artist than the rest of us. She did an atomic dog. The dog looked more like Rudolph the red nosed raindeer to me. :) Anyway, we had fun with it and apprecited GC wearing it. Hope that the Charlotte crowd liked it. It turned out to be very interesting, that's for sure. later all, Jack "Been there, done that,----designed the P Funk sheet."
