Title

‘The Avengers’

The Avengers

So now the valiant Lanc is put to rest
Along with hosts of just as valiant young
Their days and nights were spent horrendously
To give the gift of freedom to us all.

Ne’er let this gift be squandered by evil’s
Greedy grasp which spends their high-heaped coinage
In wrongful ways, so many to betray.
For then these brave avengers, the flower
Would grieve forever with their hearts so bold.

The inheritance their sacrifices
Left us is precious far beyond our gold
Forget not the deeds they did beneath the
Brilliant moon as the shining sword struck home.

They helped gain hard won victory at last
Our future now much better than our past.
