Chapter 4: A tap on the head

A fire burns in a small clearing, and two people are discussing which way to go.

Kuren: "I don't believe this.."

Ryuuen: "Well if we had a better guide, we'd be there by now." *rolling her eyes*

Kuren: "I don't see why we couldn't ask the locals?"

A shadowy figure enters the clearing, dress in a blue and gold robe.

C.Adia: "Don't concern yourselfs about the locals, I can direct us to Triod."

Ryuuen: *yeah right, after three days we're still in the same place*

Kuren: "Listen, you maybe the wizard here but we're lost!"

C.Adia: "Ahh.. but are we?"

Ryuuen: "What are you talking about?"

C.Adia: "Tell me where have we been for the last three days?"

Kuren: "Travelling around in circles, because you don't want us to ask the locals!"

Ryuuen: "I see, you mean we're in some sort of magical spell?"

C.Adia: "Yes that is exactly what it is, I've tried to break the spell but the person who has set the spell is strong. Nevertheless this spell is weakening as we speak, since I have established a link to a student of mine and we are working together to break the spell."

Kuren: "So you're saying that we'll be stuck here for another three or so days."

Ryuuen: "Oh great.. anyone brought a deck of cards?"

C.Adia: "Well, I'm doing my best."

While Kuren and Ryuuen play with a deck of cards that C.Adia was carrying, C.Adia is communicating to his fellow student outside the boundary of the loop spell.

The group of adventures halt as they see a young girl sitting underneath a tree sleeping in a sitting position.

Ari: "Do you think she is asleep?"

Cat: "It looks like she is in a trance."

AC: *getting off his horse and heading towards the girl*

Minmei: "Leave her be, we have other things to worry about."

AC: *tapping the girls head with his finger*

The girl opens one of her eyes and looks at AC and a blue ball appears in the air and hits AC in the stomach, making him fly back three feet.

AC: *rubbing his stomach* "Geez.. if you were awake then you could have said something."

Ari: "Serves you right, girls don't like people tapping their heads."

Cat: "Hi, I'm Cat, these are my friends, Ari, Minmei and the guy you hit with your magic is AC.

Fyrna: "Hello there, I'm Fyrna."

Minmei: *hears a rustling in the bushes and turns around*

Standing behind the group was a girl, pointing a sword straight at the group.

Fyrna: "Calm down Larke, they seem to be friends."

Larke: "If you come near us I'll kill you!" *looking at AC*

AC: "Huh.. I was just seeing if Fyrna was awake."

Ari: "So what are you two doing in a place like this?"

Fyrna: "I had a message from my mentor and he needed my help. You might of heard of him, he is the great C.Adia."

Larke: *putting her sword away*

Cat: "Yes we have, his the King's Wizard. We're looking for him, do you know where he is?"

Fyrna: "He is trapped in a spell and I'm helping him to get out."

Minmei: "What about you Larke?"

Larke: "I'm here to protect Fyrna if she is in the middle of a trance, she is vulnerable in a trance."

AC: "Oh I see, so which way to C.Adia?"

Fyrna: "Keep travelling north and you'll come to a fork in the road, go right and you'll find C.Adia. Although when you reach the place he will be gone, he's heading towards the thor pass and on to Triod."

Ari: "Thank you Fyrna I hope we meet again. Goodbye."

The group wave goodbye as they ride north, while Larke waves back at them. Fyrna communicates to C.Adia that there are four people heading towards him.
