This is a new section. Hopefully I will be able to update it weekly, like I want to. I'm going to post a new poem here every week, the one that I think is the best of the new submissions that I have received. This is a result of a poem I just recently received. Enjoy.

Spring Love

A gentle breeze upon my face
Thus is the peace in this place
I hear your footfalls coming near
And smile at the thought that you are here
You softly come around from behind
And how much I really care flashes through my mind
You turn to me with the gift of a flower
And I realize how precious will be our hour
As I put aside my reading
A soft kiss is your greeting
I wonder what the future holds
But the truth is that no one knows
So I sit with you this lovely spring morn
And celebrate a love new-born

SOMETHING is in the air.
They all sense it, they all feel it.
A few KNOW it. I can see IT in the way they act, the way they look at me . . .
They’re looking for something, almost desparately, not knowing what IT is . . . searching.
They want to know if I have it, feeling strange to be looking for IT in me.
If they knew what IT was; they would know that it was them.
For but a brief time, perhaps only a moment; THEY are IT.
I know this and am intoxicated by IT . . .
they sense that I know and are enflamed, emboldened by it.
Innocence takes over, steals the moment
fear overwhelms IT.

Endless Lines

I sit looking at this blank page
Wishing I could fill it with beauty
My soul pours out onto these lines
These endless lines that everytime I think
I have used up, I turn the page
And there lies another waiting to be embraced
I fill them with hopes of love and happiness
Yet in the end that is all they end up being
Hopes
Unfullfilled dreams of belonging
Why does such a sweet emotion elude me
The most common feeling shared in the world
Which encompasses every race religion and creed
Yet it mockingly laughs at the thought of including me
What crime have I committed against thee love
I have devoted countless words to thy greatness
I have sang to your charms and prayed for your smile
But in the end, I still sit looking at this blank page
Left alone with these endless lines

As our life together starts
let there be love in both our hearts
Love to cherish and to share
love to lighten every care.
Love so gentle, yet so strong,
that it stands firm when things go wrong.
So let there be love to fill the years,
through the laughter,sorrow,joy and tears.
Love thats quick to understand,
to sympathize and lend a hand.
Love thats based on faith and trust,
forgiving fully when it must.
And always in its own sweet way,
adding sunshine to each day.

Midnight angel, of the deep and lonely night
I long to see your face touched by the pale
moonlight
My blood-thirsty lover, drink from these
unworthy veins
Taste my undying love, relieve me of these
mortal pains.
Midnight angel, of mad passion and wanton
desire
I feel your touch upon my flesh, as both ice
and fire
Oh! loving you in this way is such sweet,
dark sin
I open up my soul to you as I welcome you
within.
Midnight angel, of ancient, ashen death dust
All that I am is yours to behold with all your lust
I'll not leave your desired embrace,
forget this never
Take me into your arms and love me

ODE TO MY LITTLE PRINCESS

Beneath the flashing nights and days,
I stumble while the wind continues,
Grounded by my mortal ways,
Shackled by my Earthly sinews.

The wind, the laughter of the gods,
Who gently echos soft confessions,
Whispers, "Look beneath facades;
Listen to her soul's expressions."

A woman of grace whose wit and art
Are strengthened by her high ideals,
She has a soft and tender heart
Her smile, her glance, her laugh reveals.

Her eyes, alight with fire,
Flicker with the joy of living.
Streaming through my weathered frame,
Are rays of kindness, free and giving.

Reflections glimmer through the gate
And draw the forms we long to be.
Open hearts unhinges the gate,
And love and friendship set us free.

Sunshine Fisherman

Sunshine fisherman,
you caught no fish.
Or did you?
I remember your warmth
and the sun on the sand.
All we need now
are the sea and the gulls.

please be patient with me.

Our Love
Is like a monkey driven rocket car
Blasting through the Nevada desert at 638 mph
Our Dream
Is like a sudden gust of wind that blast the rocket car
sending it out of control and tumbling end over end
Our Hope
Is like monkey guts and arms and legs
scattered across the desert, left to rot in the sun
Our life
Is like the left over rocket fuel
Bursting into flames, and sucking up innocent bystanders in a firey inferno

fountain full of pennies
dreams i've yet to see
prove to me it's possible
to make her fall in love with me

i see the others do it
when they're walking past your way
as they close their eyes and hope
you'll make their wish come true today

is it just a myth about you
or is there a chance for me
can you really make her love me
will you solve her mystery

i know that you're for real
and you'll make my wish come true
and then she'll fall in love with me
and it's all because of you

fountain full of pennies
dreams that never end
i reach inside my pockets
tears...they're empty once again
