Pain in the Desert.

Loniless of an Expatriate in Saudi Arabia.

I was reading Quran or Hadees whole day long.
But I think I was searching for something else or someone.
The sky is grayish red; clouds are scattered here and there.
Birds are coming back to their nest after flying whole day long.

The sun is going down slowly; ending of another day.
I am next to my window as if I am waiting for someone.
Traffic is very fast now on Dammam-Khobar Highway.
Everyone wants to come back before the "Iftaar",
As someone is waiting for them at home.

My heart cheers up as if someone is also waiting for me.
I must come back before the "Azan" to my home.
I lost myself in a deep thought. But, in fact there is no one.

An old man is going to the mosque with the help of his grandson,
Unable to walk properly, with the burden of age.
Children playing around, dust on thier body and dirty cloth.
Their mother calling back home but they're too naughty to stop.

Muslims are praying to Allah and waiting for the "Iftaar".
Suddenly I come back to me with "Azan" of "Magrib".
Emptiness overshadowed all of my mind.
Loneliness comes and grips me from behind.
