"We were under the command of Major Hill, who was in charge of the military affairs of the Town of Clarence.
We were in the Battle of Lubdy's Lane, Queenstown, the skirmish at Conjockety, and at the burning of Buffalo.

Dr. Robert Ringham, Director of N.Y. State Historical Society, told Miss Bissel
that Lancaster's War records of boys who enlisted was the most complete one that he knew about."
