hmm...... it's fun and I have like straight friends who are dying to try it for a laugh but like what many say.... it's kinda stereotypical and I got a feeling I’m gonna turn up as a butch in the next one... or an extreme femme depending on how "frou frou" I’m feeling the next time:) will get my gf to try it as soon as she's awake!!!! wow! well, it is certainly unique. in my women's studies class, a friend did a presentation on butch-femme tests that favor butches. so far, I am finding your test to be neither + or - toward either side, which is refreshing. the questions are interesting. incidentally, my ex-lover classified me as a 'rough femme' which would be similar to 'strong femme'. my only criticism of these butch/femme roles is that they mimic hetero gender socialization (the sociologist in me does not like this!)
Thanks. I took it just for fun and was surprised that the results pegged me right in the middle, where I guessed I would be. I know that one person's "butch" or "femme" doesn't always match another person's definition so I'm never sure how to answer when someone asks. I move between them easily, more butch one day, more femme the next.

I think it's fairly close... I took the previous test and it was "perilously close to "gentle butch" but still Androgynous, and I felt that described me. I am attracted to femme and butch personalities and have friends of both types. No lover, I'm afraid, but, that is something to be looked to for the future! Thanks for the great fun!

Though I don't put a great deal of faith in such tests (due to varying interpretations and perceptions of words used affecting the results), I found it to be quite accurate in its assessment.

I'm definitely *not* soft butch by any stretch of the imagination. I usually dress in a more androgynous way, but can also do the whole femme fatale thing. The test was fun anyway, though.

Pretty close. Except I don’t dress "crisply". It seems to me a woman could be quite "femme" but a hippie, and score into the butch range because of hippie values.

The test was interesting. I think it portrayed my personality right but you wouldn't know it by looking at me.
I don't know how accurate you are; about some characteristics, you're right on the nail, others, you couldn't be farther off.
My wife took your test and insisted that I take it as well. We are both "gentle butch". :-D The test was fun, and those that have a problem with it need to take a deep breath (and hold it until they pass out). :-) Would have been better if it did the scoring automatically. Very fun test. I scored Gentle butch, but there was a comment about dressing crisp, and look prep, which could not be farther from the truth. Not that I wouldn't like to, but I naturally look like an unmade bed. So, a high (big truck) score and a low (cucumber scent) score ended up with me a preppie. HAHAHAHAHAHA. I have no idea how you'd fix this.

Butch/femme is not a set a activities. It is identity based, not behavior based. This was a fun test. I LOATHE the term "butchy femme" and I hope you didn't include a "femmy butch" category...
I like your approach because it is fun and yet as I sit here it caused me to think through my approach to gender from my early years to the present. Early on, I was happy being male, but in my 40's as I became exposed to younger people struggling with the gender identity question, I found myself spending more and more time with lesbians, and being very very attracted to tomboys. That has not changed. Thanks for a fun 30 minutes.

I think this was very fun. I have labeled myself a confused femme for lack of better description I have some very butch taste in things and a broad range of interests. I don’t wear mens clothes but I don’t wear dresses either. Anyway this was fun .
The Femme Butch result and description seem pretty consistent with how I see myself.

I thought it was a fun little test.. the results of my score, have me pegged right down to the tee I’m a bi female, who likes to be around the work place, I do interior painting for a living, and I enjoy being around the house, making it look like me... so the tests is pretty accurate on me!! I enjoyed doing it, nice to take some time and do a little test, secretly, with the guy not knowing what’s going on... haha

It was fun!! Yes! There were a couple of questions that could have allowed for a more creative flair. Had I known this space was here at the end, I would have made a note of them to feedback to you! There was one regarding dressing styles that I remember -- could have had a choice of "personally created outfit" or something like that. Overall, it was fun and pretty accurate -- the "Rank" number was excellent for "fine tuning" the description.

I was vastly amused and found the test right about most things though I thought there were some questions that gave vague answers. I do like it. I have been searching the net for femme stuff, and butch but that is easier to find. Some times it is hard to be a femme, we are not being seriously taken, well they do fit in, but we don't. My favorite persons to talk with and to home I do see to in this is man dressing up totally in gown and all. The feeling is somewhat the same. Ah well, nice to find this spot in cyber space :-)
It was meant for fun, but it was fun noticing there is a bit of truth in it....
