terness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one
another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."

Even though we may be on our guard towards our outward actions, what burns within our spirit? Is it anger, frustration, malice, etc…? The seeds that are implanted in our hearts now, will just grow into weeds that will overtake and run our lives. If we notice sins festering within us, let us, by the grace of God, get rid of them before they become well-rooted.

"That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God." Philippians 1:10,11. Let us check each and every one of our actions and ask ourselves if they are unto the glory and praise of God. Do we not want to be like Jesus? If we don't, I'm afraid there is a 'heart problem'.
We truly have a big responsibility laid out for us. It is up to use to decide how we will treat this responsibility.
"The girl who is learning day by day to be a good daughter at

home and a good sister to the younger children is also learning day by day how to eventually be a good wife and a good mother. She is getting ready for one of the greatest works a woman can do. Making a good, true home for somebody is a truly beautiful profession." (Beautiful Girlhood.)

What a blessing it would be to our families and to those around us if we would but catch this vision of being a sister, walking in His footsteps and doing all to please Him. Then we will truly have peace in the home when we fulfill this role in our lives. Let us prepare ourselves for the beautiful profession of keeping a house.
My dear sisters, I would encourage you to keep looking to Him for all of your needs. He alone can give you the strength you need to become a vessel fit for the Master's use. These few character traits will not be an overnight change but please, do not be discouraged. As you try, by the grace of God, to be a better sister, God will bless your efforts and help you through each of your trials if you consecrate yourself to Him. I would encourage you with this verse,
"Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves." Philippians 2:3.
God bless you through all your efforts, let them not be done in vain but for the glory and praise of our most high Redeemer!
