Combat Controller

(Controller attacking by sea)

Most people don't realize that Combat Controllers may deploy into a hostile environment by land, sea, or air.   Then they establish assault zones with air traffic control capabilities.  They must place enroute and terminal navigation aids, control air traffic, communication command and control, and remove all obstacles and unexploded ordinance with the use of demolition's.

The picture to your left shows a Combat Controller infiltrating an area by sea.  This is only one of many ways they may deploy.  He is armed with standard sea and land gear with the standard M16.

Para-Rescue

(Para-rescue men, performing a rescue jump)

Whenever there are wounded pilots or air crews, these are the people who are called in to rescue them.  They provide the medical care needed to stabilize the wounded personnel and the skill to evacuate them.  Para-Rescue men also participate in world wide search, rescue, and recovery assistance associated with aircraft accidents.  Other jobs include disaster relief, humanitarian evacuation, and contingency landing site support for NASA missions.

The picture to your left shows Para-Rescue soldiers jumping from an airplane.  This is probably an exercise, but would be done the same way in combat situations.
