What style(s) of music are you interested in? Is the teacher compatible with these styles?
What credentials does the piano teacher have, as a performer? Would you aspire to or look up to the level of performance
the teacher can demonstrate or point to?
Does the teacher have a methodology or plan to help you achieve the next level?
Are you looking to make rapid progress? Does the teacher support the pace you are interested in?
Is having fun while learning important to you? If so, does the teacher support this?
What are your musical goals? Does the teacher make an effort to find out what you want and devise a plan to lead you
there?
Does the teacher care about you as a person? Is this important to you? Will you feel more motivated to learn?
