Testosterone:

02-25-2004: Final dose of Androgel 5 Gram #438
01-15-2007: I have been on Depotestosterone, 200mg/ml; 0.7cc (140mg per dose) since 02-25-2004. I self-inject every 2 weeks.

Health: (Updated 1-20-2010)
-I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I'm sure it's got nothing to do with my transition.
-I am on 1.4cc of 100mg T biweekly. The acne I had cleared up tremendously well. See Skin/Hair below.
-It's been more than five years since my chest reconstruction surgery. Use this link or navigate to the left for the Chest Reconstruction page. My chest healed very well.

Skin/Hair: (Updated 1-20-2010)
-My skin is still steadily healing from all the acne. I used Accutane for about 10 days but it gave me very bad digestive side effects so I was taken off it. But during those 10 days it kicked some acne ass! The acne on my back cleared up in just 4 days and the acne on my face almost disappeared. Now I am on Tazorac and I took an antibiotic called Doryx* for a while. It worked very well. I can actually see my skin and it feels soft. That's never happened, even before T.
-For cleansing and moisturizing, I use Cetaphil every day. I cleanse once in my morning shower and moisturize right after I put my Tazorac on my face, while my skin is still damp from the shower. It's worth the $10 a bottle! I also wash my face at night before bed after working hard or if it just feels gross, but I do this very sparingly because of how irritated my skin gets.
-I shave everyday. I use either an electric shaver with powder to lubricate, or a safety razor and Aveeno Sensitive Skin shave gel. It works very well and my skin does not get irritated or break out from it at all.

Mood: (New on 1-21-2011)
-Since I have been down to 0.7cc, I feel more anxiety than I did on 1cc. But it seems to be nothing I can't handle.
-In February 2009 my doctor put me on 40mg of Prozac daily. My depression became severe enough that it kept me from updating this website--something I did religiously before that. It helps a great deal and lowers my anxiety a little.
-I have always been a bit of a germophobe but 2010 was really bad for me. I'm not refusing to touch people or anything but pretty close. It's unrelated to my T and is simply a byproduct of being unemployed and stressed out. Let's hope it passes as things improve.

Voice: (Updated 1-15-2007)
-I'm a baritone. I'm still trying to regain my control so I can start sounding good when I sing again!

Sex: (Updated 1-21-2011)
-My sex drive is up and down just like any other guy. If I regulate my hormones like I'm supposed to I stay pretty interested in sex. However, depression has affected that in the negative and I just try to be happy with my lovely wife, no matter what.

Name Change: (Updated 01-13-2003)
I changed my name to Eric on January 13, 2003.

Surgery: (Updated 7-18-2008)
Chest Reconstruction: I had chest reconstruction surgery at 11:30 AM on 10-12-2004. One year ago tomorrow! For all the details on the procedure and the outcome, go to the Chest Reconstruction page.
SRS: My SRS was scheduled for November 2, 2007. See the SRS page for details. Obviously I did not have that surgery. :(

Birth Certificate: (Updated 1-21-2011)
-I received my affidavit from my doctor and sent it in to the office for Vital Records Changes just after the new year. As soon as I receive the new record in the mail I will put more info on this page so that others may benefit from the newer policy here in Michigan.

Photos: (Updated 1-21-2011)
I put some recent photos on the Photos page. Enjoy!
