Chapter 5

The Count had tied Molly up securely to chair and a gag covered her mouth. The Count passed the room and giggled with delight. "Perfect!" he praised. "As soon as the other's return from delivering our ransom note to the slayer and her Watcher, we can have a mighty feast."

"But I thought we were going to kill the watcher?" asked another vampire from the corner.

"Misery loves company." The Count replied. "And I think it will be more fun."

"But I think you have enough company." said a voice. The Count turned and their stood Fluffy. Behind her, Alex, Ash, and Farmer stood with weapons ready. "I mean really, you ought to offer us a seat."

"But the others!" he said. "My messengers!"

"Oh, them..." Fluffy held out her hand and dropped a pile of dust. "I'm not sure which one that is, but don't worry, I think he got the point."

"Get her!" the Count cried, his minions crawled from their corners like cockroaches.

Fluffy stepped forward and swung her stake catching one in the heart before he could get close, Alex and Ash took her side and they too kicked and swung, making way for Farmer to cut across and untie Molly while they vampires were distracted.

"Molly, you okay?" He asked.

"Never better." she said rubbing her raw wrists. "Just hand me Woody and I'll get on my way." Farmer handed her a stake and she ran out to join the fight.

It was just in time to Alex, and Ash had had their weapons taken and were staring down a double set of vampire teeth when Molly and Fluffy both staked the two vampires from behind. Their dusted bodies crumbled leaving only the two slayers' smiling faces. They glanced at each other with satisfied looks and stood back to back. They both spin out and staked two more vampires before the others stopped coming. Instead the vampires coward away. The Count too had all but left. Standing by an exit he waved his fist in anger and shouted threats.

"Another time Slayer!" and he escaped.

The champions stood in victory walking over the dust piles of the dead vampires. Fluffy finally got to look at the retired slayer.

"You're Fluffy?" she asked. Fluffy nodded. "I'm very pleased to meet you." she said and extended her dusty hand.

"Pleasure's mine." She replied.
