British SMGs

Sten MKII

Weight: 6 lbs.

Clip Size: 32 rounds

Action: Semi Auto/Full Auto

Caliber: 9mm

Special: The second of 6 Sten gun models made from the 1930's to the 1960's. It was unreliable because the clip often fell out, it would fire when dropped or hit, and it was inaccurate.

Price: Unknown

American SMGs

Thompson (Tommygun)

Weight: 16 lbs.

Clip Size: 20 rds.

Action: Full Auto/Semi-Auto

Caliber: .45 ACP

Special: Used in WWII with strip clips that held only 20 rounds. Drum clips could hold up to 50 rounds, but were only used in the 20s and 30s by the Mafia and other gangs. John T. Thompson who helped develop the M1903 Springfield rifle and M1911 .45 caliber pistol, began work on a "trench broom" for close quarter combat shortly after his retirement from the Army in 1918. He recognized that the .45 caliber slug used in the M1911 pistol would be devastating when used in a fully automatic weapon.

German SMGs

MP40

Weight: Unknown

Clip Size: 32 rounds

Action: Full Auto

Caliber: 9mm

Special: The MP-40 was a staple of German infantry in World War II. A small upgrade to the hammer of the MP-38 gave birth to the MP-40, a cheaply produced sub machine gun used in every Nazi theater throughout the war.
Russian SMGs

PPSH-41

Weight: Unknown

Clip Size: 71 round drum

Action: Full Auto

Caliber: 9mm

Special: Over 5 million PPSHs were made during WWII. It was excellent for clearing rooms and against individual soldiers. It was also simple to manufacture and was used in the Vietnam War as well.
