The Ducks have taken a huge step forward with the aquisitions of C Adam Oates and RW Petr Sykora. These two players along with LW Paul Kariya will definately be one of the best lines in the league. The biggest reason for thier downfall last year is still not resolved but infact has gotten much worse with the departure of D Oleg Tverdovsky.

 

With the departure of Steve Shields the immergence of G Jean-Sebastien Giguere will be strongly needed. Giguere was once a promised prospect in the Calgary organization but was traded when his play started to fail. However since the trade to Anaheim he has blossomed.
