The second part of the website restructuring was to move the "lost loved ones" section onto it's own domain....that project is now complete and we have a link on the "Lost Loved Ones" page....the new website also pays tribute to those lost in Afghanistan and also during the tragic events of 9.11.2001.......the new domain?.. http://www.usaheroes.us/

This Soldier of Mine

When she was born, the sun became brighter.

The burdens of the world all became lighter.

We celebrated her birth with joy and glee

And since that day shes brought happiness to me.

Growing up, she slept with her bunny

She wouldnt give it up for any amount of money.

Red curls tousled on the pillow on her bed

We always wondered what was going through her head.

She welcomed her brother with love in her heart

Today they are so close we cant pull them apart.

She has faith in people and faith in God

She leaves inspiration where her footsteps have trod.

The teen years were both good and bad

We had many happy times and also many sad.

Yet she grew from everything she learned

Kept the good memories and the bad ones burned.

She made a decision to enlist in the service

When I first found out, I was indeed very nervous.

She made a commitment for eight years of her life

To help this country battle through strife.

When the war broke out, I panicked and cried

All I could think of was the many soldiers who have died.

Yet she is serving with honor and does what she is told

She is defending her country at 20 years old.

She is helping to fight for freedom worldwide

In the hope that someday peace will abide.

When its time to fight, she is first in line

I am so proud of this soldier of mine.

Dedicated to our daughter Helen

Welcome to our new web site. We decided to dedicate a site to the men and women of the allied military forces who are involved in the "Iraqi Freedom" operation which commenced in March of 2003.

We expect to update the site in the usual timely manner that those visitors to our main tribute website are familiar with.

Please bookmark this new site, and return as many times as you wish.

If you have not already visited our highly acclaimed 9.11 tribute website we invite you to do so at your leisure at the following URL..

Iraqi Freedom Heroes

The name says it all.

We have "borrowed" many of these images and sounds from other sites, too numerous to mention, and we would like to extend our thanks to those sites for allowing the sharing of these. The images do remain the copyright of the original publishers, hopefully, under the sad circumstances they will allow us to share these with you all. If anyone does hold the copyright to any of the material used, and objects to it's use we will remove it as soon as possible once notified of such a request.

We would like to thank both national, and international media for the considerable empathy they have shown in covering these events, and whilst we are eager to give the originators of all the images and texts that we have included praise for their content this has not been possible in the majority of cases, if you know of any originators we will include them as soon as possible.

If you have any suitable material for this site we would welcome it, and will include it if possible at the earliest opportunity. We are not now limited to available space thanks to the tremendous support from Lycos/Tripod, and our supporters in California.

You will note that throughout this tribute website there are no page "hit" counters, nor do we have a "guest book" as we feel that this is neither the time, nor the place to either add extra items, or to satisfy ourselves of the popularity of the site.

We have our contact information on the website, and we welcome any additional items, corrections, and suggestions, and we will try to update the site regularly.

We invite you to visit any of our websites......

This was our first website dedicated to supporting the troops and was hugely successful in bringing a "little taste of home" to over 17,600 during the Festive Season in 2003. It is our intention for this to continue during 2004. This website is suspended due to lack of support, a point which saddens us, but we subsidized this non-profit to the tune of about $5,000 during 2003 and were unable to do so during 2004. Please remember to support the troops whenever possible.

Bringing a "little taste of home" throughout the year by sending care packages and essential items, primarily to newly deployed troops, but also to those who are for whatever reason not getting too much support from home. Again, this website is suspended due to lack of support, a point which saddens us, but we subsidized this non-profit to the tune of about $3,000 during 2003 and were unable to do so during the whole of 2004. Please remember to support the troops whenever possible.

Our very first tribute site, and now internationally acclaimed, used as an education aid in many schools and other institutions as well as by emergency services worldwide. Probably the largest and most visited privately owned and operated 9.11 tribute site on the internet. Allow a LOT of time, and a box of Kleenex......this is a HUGE website.

Dedicated to the events and issues that affect the US and coalition troops involved in the global war on terrorism while supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. Another HUGE website, with links to those lost and our details "Daily Dairies", covering all the major news in diary form from day one of this conflict to remove the tyrannical regime of Saddam Hussein, remove possible threats on the US and other countries, and provide freedom and democracy for the Iraqi people.

A personal dedication to those brave men and women who have given their lives in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and the reason that they were necessary, the tragic events of September 11th, 2001. All the names are listed, and a short summary/bio in many cases.

The day by day summary of events and issues affecting the US men and women in uniform who are involved in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Updated at least daily, and more often as important breaking news is available.

Latest Website Information

February 23rd, 2004...The second phase of the website reorganization is now complete. The "Lost Loved Ones" section is now on it's own domain, and includes those lost in Afghanistan and during the tragic events of September 11th, 2001.

January 15th, 2004...In the first major change to the website since it's inception we now have all the weekly pages moved to their new domain. This will reduce loading time for our visitors in addition to giving those who only visit to read the latest information affecting the coalition troops a chance to do so without loading the whole of this website...we are currently working on moving the section about "Lost loved Ones" onto it's own domain and will be combining that with a dedication to those lost in the tragic events of September 11th, 2001.

July 29th, 2003...We continue to update this website daily with all the very latest information. We have also now launched "Operation Christmas Stocking" on another website, and we would like to invite all our visitors to visit the new site. Just click on the logo and it will open in a new browser window.

June 29th, 2003...Added a list of "Thank You's" to the "Patriotic Graphics - The Story" page. Not a comprehensive list, but shows the widespread support of the website.

June 25th. 2003...Added information and background justification for the removal of the Patriotic Graphics pages as previously outlined a week ago.

June 18th, 2003... All of the pages with constantly changing news and information are still updated, usually on a daily basis...however we have today removed the special graphics pages from the site due to external pressure, we will be building a full explanation page in the next few days as we feel that as this is YOUR website which is dedicated to all of the men and women who daily are putting their lives at risk for the benefit of others then you are entitled to know the facts as they present themselves. We will NOT be "mincing words" on this page, but we are currently awaiting clearance of it from various qualified legal opinions prior to publishing it.

June 4th, 2003...We continue to update the website information as and when it comes to hand. We have today received an email from a third party, which was actually addressed to the tribute website, but also made mention of this one and we wish to make it quite clear that we are more than willing to give credit to the various copyright holders upon direct request from the copyright owner that we do so. The copyright shown on each page does not cover, nor conflict, with the individual copyrights held by the individual artists of the various media represented.

May 11th, 2003...The website information has been updated daily since the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom...today which is Mother's Day here in the USA we have added a poem written for and about our daughter Helen. The website will continue to be updated on a daily basis for the forseeable future rather than following the lead of other sites which have archived their information on the day that The President announced that the military operation was over from the Lincoln.

April 13th, 2003...Whilst the website is updated daily and is ever increasing in size we remain committed to updating the information as accurately and quickly as possible. Today seven Army POW's were released to US Marines and we are pleased to bring you this information even before the Pentagon has officially announced it due to the fact that we were able to identify all those involved from news media coverage on TV. The identified saved heroes are included in a new section on our MIA/POW page.

April 6th, 2003...We have already passed the landmark 25 pages and at this time we have 27 pages on the website, with more to come...please bookmark the site and return regularly.

April 1st, 2003...The website has grown over the past several days, and will continue to do so over the next few weeks, too many changes to mention, please remember to visit frequently to see the additions and improvements. During this time some pages may be in need of completion, but the website will be online throughout.

March 29th, 2003...Website launched "officially" with it's own domain name....two extra pages added.

March 26th. 2003...basic web site launched with 14 pages.....this website will be developed rapidly and updated daily as far as is possible.

March 23rd. 2003...Work started on building the website and the collection of information.

March 21st. 2003...Decision made to build a website dedicated to the heroes of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
