My Life Mission Statement

My desire is to be drawn close to God, and to walk with Him; my very life is completely His to use for His good will and pleasure.

For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake shall find it. Matthew 6:25

I will devote myself to getting to know Him through reading His word and communicating with Him through prayer.

But He answered and said, "It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’" Matthew 4:4

With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit. Ephesians 6:18a

I will strive to ensure the purity and truthfulness of my doctrine by comparing everything I say I believe with His holy word.

All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16

I will allow God to reign in my home, and I will put the interests and well-being of my family before everything else in my life. To my wife, I commit myself to building the strongest of marriages by loving her just as Christ loved the Church; to my children, I will instill God’s values and will live my own life consistent with those values, for the purpose of modeling God’s teaching to them.

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15

I will build relationships with other Christians, so that we may grow together in Him. I will seek unity with believers from other churches, putting aside denominational affiliations and theological perspectives, and work with them to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ to the lost.

In my own church, I will be faithful to give of my time and all other resources. I will function in the roles He has for me in the Church, and I will use the spiritual gifts He has given me. With my home group, I will allow the Lord to use me to bless them and to use them to be a blessing to me. I will allow them to hold me accountable in my walk with Him.

I will proclaim Thy Name to my brethren, in the midst of the congregation I will sing Thy praise. Hebrews 2:12
