THE GARDEN OF AROMATHERAPY

  "All’s in this flower...
Times, seasons, losses, all the fruits of woe,
Beauty’s fragility, and death’s bare gain,
Pluck’d in passing by, five minutes ago."
        - Glanvill

The ancient art of aromatherapy has taken the world by storm, and is finally reaching Indian shores. Aromatherapy can produce amazing results if used correctly. However, extreme care has to be taken in case of pregnancy, high blood pressure, and in some other cases. A list of precautions has been provided in this website.
Aromatherapy has gained great ground on the international front, and is very popular in America, the UK, Japan, Italy and Germany.
Aromatherapy oils are very expensive, especially in India. The reason for this is that they are highly concentrated. For e.g., 1000 kgs of rose petals is required for extracting 300 ml of rose oil! In India, the common oils manufactured domestically include basil, neem, eucalyptus, jasmine, lemon, and sandalwood. Many oils are imported.
