Meet the Players | Scrimmages | Non-District | District | Playoffs

The 2000-2001 season is expected to be an exciting one with a tough non-district schedule, as well as the usual competitive district run.  The realignment for the new season puts La Grange in District 25-3A along with Bellville, Columbus, Hallettsville, Hempstead, and Smithville.  In addition, the realignment places 25-3A in Region IV which includes districts 25 through 32.

According to Dave Campbell's Football Magazine, La Grange is favored to win their district with Bellville following close behind.

Collier-Sharp's pre-season state rankings of the 210 3A teams ranks our district members as follows:
La Grange-2; Bellville-50; Columbus-55; Hallettsville-56; Hempstead-100; and Smithville-60.

Meet the Players

Each school year, community members, family, friends, and fans are invited to meet the team members of the fall sports of football, volleyball, and cross country.  The annual event, "Meet the Players," was held this year on Wednesday, August 23, 2000.

In addition to the introductions, athletes and attendees were treated to a meal of sausage wraps, chips, and drinks.  Attendees then had the opportunity to mingle and visit with the players. This year's event was well-received with one of the largest turnouts to date.  Spring athletes are introduced at a similar event in early spring.
