My name is Maria and I extend a
warm welcome and my hand in friendship to you all :-)
On my site you will find my own
poetry that I have written reflecting on my feeling's and emotion's of my abusive childhood growing up in the care system
at Nazareth House for thirteen years I was in two of these orphanages in Scotland UK from two years old until I was fifteen.
Throughout my childhood I endured the most brutal appalling abuse imaginable this was very physical abuse and psychological
and verbal abuse I was a mere child no matter what, I did not deserve this appalling behaviour from such angelic faces of
the cloth who were known as The Poor Sisters of Nazareth but today are know as Sisters of Nazareth they have dropped the Poor
now from their title. One of the statements issued to date to the media by no other than Mario Conti who was Bishop of Abedeen
when I resided there was it was discipline this was not just simply discipline it was outright cruelty in my opinion and I
deemed to break my silence after forty five years when the first case against Nazareth House and the Catholic Church in Scotland
took place in 2000 the nun Sister Alphonso aka Marie Docherty was charged and found guilty of child abuse but after
direction from the sheriff to the jury the sentence Sister Alphonso received was admonishment this to me was not justice in
my opinion it was a sham a whitewash again failing the many victims/survivors of abuse at Nazareth House:(. Sister Alphonso
stated how sorry she was in that courtroom yet to date we the former children have not heard one word of regret or an apology
to any of us that is how sorry she was si in my opinion an act purely for the benefir of the courts and hardly sincere
in any way otherwise we would have heard her apologise publicly to us all in my opinion this to me is
TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and APPAULING.....

To date we
have not heard any words of regret from the Catholic Church but what we have heard is the flippant remarks from one Bishop
Conti of Aberdeen Scotland who is now Cardinal Conti, for example remarks like these things happened so long ago in reply
I say to Mario Conti by your very remarks you are condoning this brutal sadistic treatment endured by many of the former
children who grew up at Nazareth House your remarks have a total complete lack of compassion or caring for the victims/survivors
from these orphanages. No one from the Catholic Church have offered us the victims/survivors any help whatsoever for example
setting up support phone lines etc and yet your guidelines state if alleged child abuse or proven child abuse then we
will set up helplines counselling etc NO action has to date been taken by any of you for this to be put in place I
ASK YOU ALL WHY NOT? so the many victims/survivors are left alone crying their many silent tears this inaction by you
the Catholic church is to me
TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE

The reason I decided to
have my websites is because the Catholic Church and Nazareth House are still in denial of what abusive practises occurred
in these evil homes you know we are telling the truth and nothing but the truth so why the denials?. In Scotland alone there
are 500+ victim's of these homes who have lodged claims against Nazareth House & the Catholic Church . These stories are
not just here in the United Kingdom but are worldwide I have spoken to many survivors from these homes like myself who suffered
the most appalling abuse from such angelic faces but when the abuse occurred to me those faces were of the utmost hate. In
having my websites I am exposing your appalling abuse that went on in my opinion and was systematic throughout in such
a brutal appalling regime filled with endless fear and trepidation @ Nazareth House and today there are very many silent voices
unable to come forward for whatever reason to speak of what they did endure and if I can help by my website being here to
perhaps inspire just one victim to take the very couragous first steps to speak out and expose your cruelty then to me it
has all been worthwhile and my website is also in remembrance of the victims/survivors who never made it and sought a
quieter peaceful place to rest their weary heads never forgotten always remembered I speak out for all of you also by stepping
forward to reveal my and every other little child's abusive treatment we were forced to endure of which we had no choice or
control over.
I hope that you enjoy your visit
to my website although speaking about abuse is not an easy topic to read or hear but hope I have not made it to depressing
for you I have not dressed it up with any frills or niceties this is how my childhood life was for me and many other little
children in these homes.

I am a married woman
of fifty five years old, I have one beautiful daughter and six beautiful delightful
grandchildren, 3 boys and 3 girls
ranging
in ages from 15-5 years
old and each and every
one of them are my sunlight and
my diamonds in my life.
I hope I will
always be a part of their lives they are all very different in their own unique way.
I constantly tell them
they can do anything and they are all beautiful
