September 16..."The Pond" nears completion...

LeeAnn started doing the prep work for this project last fall. She dove back into it by mid summer and a couple of week ago we had the pond liner in place. We took two different family trips to the Boise river to gather rocks. While we were there LeeAnn and Brad we're able to capture 3 frog that now reside in said pond. This is a project that LeeAnn has wanted to complete for many years. She's now a very happy camper.
Aug. 20...A new Shrode Family Truckster...

We were becoming aware of a need to upgrade our family car for some time now. LeeAnn's Jeep Cherokee was showing signs of distress in many areas. The four wheel drive was down to two. The brake lights quit working some months ago, without my being able to diagnose the problem. And lately past 55 mph it wanted to steer itself. LeeAnn also has had a harder time with the stick shift with her arthritis. Sooo...Along comes the new van previously owned by some church friends. They had recently purchased a newer van for themselves and wanted very little for this. Its a 1990 Mazda MPV. It has about 173 million miles on it, but has been very well cared for. Also came with a set of studded tire mounted on rims. We like it!
Aug. 21...Breanna gets her own new vehicle

Breanna too was in need of a new vehicle. She had long ago out grown her "little bike". LeeAnn had found this at a garage sale for 20 bucks. We sold her old one at our garage sale for 10 bucks. It just happens to be purple and pink, her favorite colors!
Aug. 15...Breanna participates with church Worship Team...

Breanna has long wanted to participate with the Worship Team at church. She had asked and was allowed to join in. They will let her join in every couple of months. She did a great job!
Sometime this summer...Robe Creek trip...

We got off for a family trip some time ago and had a couple of neighbor friends, Rocky and Dusty come with us. Robe Creek is just up out of Boise about 20 min. Normally a tongue of Lucky Peak Lake creates a nice beach and recreation area near this spot. Because of the drought, it was dry. We found this spot wandering back from the first place.
