Using Macintosh Auto
Power On/Off with your Web Browser
By Darrell Ray Elmore, ZD Journals
Auto Power On/Off is a control panel that comes as part of the Macintosh OS 8.5. You can
use it in conjunction with either Netscape or Internet Explorer for the Macintosh to turn
on your computer at a specified time and open a Web site of your choice. For example, you
can configure your Mac to turn on in the morning, so that when you wake up, IE 4.0 has
already launched and retrieved the morning news from CNN.com. Let's take a look.
