Djembe Drums The Djembe Drum is a favorite at drum circles. When I make my Djembes I try to achieve a broad spectrum of sounds from these drums. I have done much experimentation to accomplish this. From the deep base to the high end rims. From the open tones to the hard loud slaps.  Because of their range, these drums are very enjoyable to play.

DJB13C     This Djembe is 25" tall, with a 13" goatskin head. It is built of
4-ply pine wood in stave-style construction, with a cone shaped bowl. The shell is not turned on a lathe. They are planed down by hand rounded off with a disc sander, fine sanded and then coated with a polyurethane finish. I use 1/4" steel rings wrapped in cloth and low-stretch polyester rope in the "Mali-weave" style of lacing to tighten down the head. I also use other woods to make these drums, such as oak and ash. Please feel free to inquire about them.

DJB13      This is one beautiful drum. In sound, looks and construction. This Djembe is 25" tall, with a 13" goatskin head. It has a rounded bowl and a cone base, built of 1/4"  3-ply pine staves and then covered with 3 layers of 6 oz. fiberglass and resin. This makes the drum light in weight, very strong and also resistant to any foul weather. If taken care of this drum will last you a lifetime.

DJB-HC     These are hand-carved Djembes from Africa. I will post these drums on my website or e-mail you pictures if you inquire about them.
