Journey of the Incredible Shrinking Man
Phase 2

These are pics of me before the surgery. This is the side that the dr. presented to the insurance company, due to the way the skin hung down lower on the left side...

And this is the left side of me post-op, the sleek new Shrinking Man. Still a little bumpy, as you can see, but a big difference. I wish I had gotten around to having the pics taken when the bruises were really bad, so I could elicit more sympathy from you ;) There was no pre-op pic of the right side, so I just tacked it on here for good measure.

These are the full-on pre- and post-op pics of my stomach, or as I titled the pics when I scanned them, my gut. I am still pretty disgusted looking at the
pre-op pics. Someone made the comment to me after seeing them that she could now understand why I was so set on having the abdominoplasty. Someone else said it was kind of strange to see someone without a belly-button, but looking at the pre- pic you can barely tell where it was, anyway.

These are the total body pics. Well, not total, but you know what I mean. You can see my face. Pretty
un-happy looking, pre-op. Not ecstatic post-op, but better. Being the negative bastard I am, I can see  more work that needs to be done. I can also see that it is a tremendous improvement, and I can feel it almost every second of every day. I don't feel lighter, exactly, but I feel a lot freer and unencumbered. As the soreness goes away, it's only going to get better :-) That's my younger bro you can see behind me in the pre-op pic (hi, Matt). Him and his wife Lara took great care of me when I got out of the hospital. Thanks, bro.
