The first Burmese was brought into America from the Far east in 1930.  Her name was Wong Mau and the Burmese breed began with her.  Burmese are very intelligent and have marvellous temperaments.  They are friendly, affectionate, outgoing and are not as vocal as some other breeds.  They are also known as Dog Cats due to their ability to retrieve and their total loyalty to their owners.  Burmese are a very social breed and do not like to be left alone without human or feline companionship.

Grand Champion Ismisha Dapper Dan

Grand Champion Ismisha Dapper Dan

Dandy is out wonderful lilac burmese boy who is our current stud boy , he comes from Debbie and Stephen of Ismisha cats.  He has had three Cc's in his first three shows so we are all very proud of him.  He is a very special cat with a great personality and a joy to live with and handle.  Thanks a million to Stephen and Debbie at Ismisha for this stunning boy. Grand Champion in another 3. We cannot say enough good about this lovely cat and the beautiful healthy strong kitttens he has given us.  With so many Burmese being so tiny now it is great the have a boy producing the correct size for health and showing.

Pasha

Adecibu Dieselydoo-Pasha known as Pasha

Pasha is our new blue burmese boy, future stud and hopefully show boy.  He comes from Anne Henderson in Co.Down, thank you Anne for this lovely boy.  His mum is an Ismisha cat and his dad is all UK breeding with some very interesting lines behind him.  We hope he will have a happy and successful life here at Sliabh.  This boy has a wonderful personality and for some reason all my burmese and asians love him.  He arrived without one hiss or spit and settled right in.  At Pashas first show he got first, CC, BOB, Best Burmese adult and Best of Variety.  Well done Pasha and his breeder anne Henderson..  At his first show Sasha got first, CC, BOB, best Burmese adult and Best of Variety.  All concerned were thrilled.  Thanks to Brega Webb the judge.

Lola
Champion Sliabh Lola

One of the celebrities of the house!  Lola is a beautiful lilac girl and is a bit mad. She is constantly on the move and is a very typical outgoing, bubbly and happy Burmese kitten. We hope that we will continue to show Lola but whatever happens , thanks to her we had a wonderful supreme show in 2003. Lola is retired and living in a happy pet home for the last few years.

Sliabh Sasha Fierce

Sasha is from our own line, fifth generation now and our Grand Champion Ismisha boy.  She is such a sweet girl and we hope that she will show for us.  We have got some lovely kittens from this boy and we are hoping this girl will continue his winning ways.

Sliabh Joss Stone

Sliabh Joss Stone

Jessy is litter sister to Sasha and ended up staying at home by accident, but we are happy to have her and she will make her debut at Cork show.  Having had some false starts with our burmese, I think we are finally getting the type we wanted, thanks to the lovely Gr. Ch. Ismisha Dapper Dan and the lovely Ishcus and Reltub cats behind both the Ismisha line and my line.  Hopefully we will continue to develop nice type in this lovely breed.

We have a lovely cream boy from Backchat, Lorna and Ken , whose cats are doing so well here in Ireland and  winning Best Burmese so much.  We are thrilled with this lovely boy and hope that he will produce some lovely babies soon.  Thank you both for him.
