Registered Minister

Oklahoma Court Clerk Book 4, Pg 30 on 27 Sept 01

The 1st Evangelical Church of Spiritual Warriors for Christ is led by  Church founder,  Chaplain JWW. The following is his background and how the Church has come to be.
Chaplain Wayne accepted the Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1969 at a fundamental church camp. He grew up in Baptist and Wesleyan Methodist churches. Chaplain JWW Joined the USAF in 1979. Once out of his Basic Training he used his leadership postions to start Bible studies whenever he could at various locations.
During the mid 1980's he spent much time in Asia and Europe where he continued to share the Gospel through tracks and visitations. It was in the Azores Portugal where he felt the greatest pull into the ministry. Chaplain JWW was baptized in the Atlantic Ocean close to the airbase at Lajes FLD. He started doing missionary work in his spare time through a Baptist missionary church located on the island. Chaplain JWW started working on correspondence Bible courses and courses offered through the Church to further enhance his aptitude for Christ's work.
Once out of the military Chaplain JWW came to Oklahoma to help take care of his father, who was in poor health.
Chaplain JWW has also been involved in various martial art disciplines since 1967. These opportunities were greatly enhanced during the time he spent overseas. However, it was under the tutelage of two primary men who brought to light the fact that  martial arts could be a ministry so long as Christ remained the primary focus.
The first was Prof. Joseph Cowles, a minister in TX., and one of Bruce Lee's original students in the Jun Fan school in Seatle, Washington. The other man was one of  Prof. Cowles' lineal successors, John Douvillier,  under whom Chaplain Wayne still practices and teaches.
Chaplain JWW has used his unique talents to work with gang kids and other children through a street ministery. This gives the children a physical outlet for their "energy." It also, keeps the doors open for opportunities to involve Chaplain JWW in leading the children and their families to the knowledge of GOD.
Chaplain JWW is always looking for a better way to reach people. The Web has definitely opened up many doors. Especially, for people who are shy and never talk to anyone and those in countries (yes, it still exists today, don't take your religious freedom for granted.) where not only the person but their entire family is in great peril, should they openly try to study or proclaim Christ.  Hence,  the creation of this church and service to the people.
It is our hope that by getting people to open up and learn about Christ it will give them the opportunity to gain confidence in themselves and eventually, hopefully, take on the Great Commission Christ charged to every believer . . .Mark 16:15  And HE said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Luke 4:18  The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
But know, that this too, has its responsibilities.
1 Corinthians 9:14  Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.

We realize that Christ wanted people to gather together in  HIS spirit and  body. While this method,  may not be preferential to physical contact, it is a start, a beginning, and with Christ's guidance and our perseverance, it will not be the end.
With each challenge we encounter, we become stronger in our faith.  We invite you to become a part of the church today and a piece of its history tomorrow.

Chaplain JWW currently holds a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine (N.D.), a PhD in Counseling, a Masters in Holistic Nutrition, , a B.S. in H.P.E.R., as well as 84 hrs towards an Associates degree in Instructional Technology earned through Community College of the Air Force. He also holds a 5th dan in Mushin ryu and a 5th black sash in Wu Wei Gung Fu. He is Chung Si, lineal successor to Prof. Cowles and a member of the World council of Soke/Soke dai head founders and successors.
