Originally planned to be Dr. Gero's ultimate "Son Gokou killer," Dr. Gero quit working on his (In Dr. Evil-like voice) "Death Sta--" I mean, "Cell Project" because it was too long and time consuming. Ever since young Gokou defeated the Red Ribbon Army, Dr. Gero used a machine similar to an insect to collect the living cells from the most powerful organisms Earth has ever seen: Son Gokou, Tienshihan, Piccolo, Raditz, Nappa, Vejita, Freezer, Cold-sama, and I'm pretty sure Trunks. Using Gero's superior brain powers, he combined these cells with some of the most extensive DNA research to create: Cell.

However, Gero knew that Cell could be better, and programmed Cell to want the perfect body, by absorbing the jinzonigen with the longest lasting Energizer battery ever built: Juuhachigou and Juunanagou.

After Gero's demise, his computer continued working on this (Also in Dr. Evil voice) "Cell Project." Cell was finally finished in Mirai Trunks's timeline. Since Juuhachigou and Juunanagou already destoryed everything (*takes deep breath*), Cell killed Mirai Trunks, stole his time machine, mutated back into his first evolution (because he was too big to fit inside, size does matter), and went back to the timeline that Trunks had been able to punch in before being murdered (*breathes heavily* phew...). These "time coordinates" brought Cell back to the present timeline, not too long after the destruction of 20-Gou/Dr. Gero. There's still one mystery: Why was Trunks going back in time? Did he plan to go back with plans of the jinzonigen's weakness? Guess we'll never know...

Cell was still too weak to fight with the Z Senshi head on. So using his tail with a long spike on the end, he went to city after city absorbing the life force of innocents, leaving literary only skin and bones of the victim. But, Piccolo fused with Kame-sama and beat the living crap outta Cell. Cell was able to escape and hide for another day...

A stronger Cell returned who was more of a match for Piccolo, but before the combined efforts of Piccolo and Juunanagou could defeat him, Cell absorbed Juunanagou. This "semi-perfect Cell" beat up everyone. Vejita returned with the USSJ ability and handed Cell's ass on a silver platter. But, Vejita's pride came in and he allowed Cell to absorb Juuhachigou so he would offer a better fight. But... poor Vejita, Perfect Cell handed Vejita's and Trunks's asses on a gold platter.

Cell later threatened to destory Earth if Earth's greatest heroes didn't compete in the Cell Game. Cell waitted 10 days on his hand/ki-build ring without moving... what a freak.

The contestents: Mr. Satan, Son Gokou, Son Gohan, Piccolo, Vejita, and Trunks. With an audience of the world via satelite and Tienshihan and Yamucha. Cell humiliated Satan, evened out with Gokou, and trounced Gohan, but not by much. After hearing Gokou's encouraging yells to Gohan to become angry and show his true power, Cell allowed Gohan to live, and demanded that he become angry to offer Cell a real fight. Gohan, of course, pleaded that the couldn't become angry by will, it was just something that happened. So Cell created seven (cout 'em, seven) Cell Jr.'s to beat up the Z Senshi to encourage Gohan's rage.

Needless to say, the Z Senshi wasn't too happy. Gohan became angry, going beyond the bounds of Super Saiyajin. And then killed all seven Cell Jr.'s without trying, abnd then went head to head with a somewhat afraid Cell.

SSJ2 Gohan handed Cell's ass on a platnium platter. A now semi-perfect Cell (watch the episodes dammit, I spoiled enough!!) decided that if he was gonna go, so was Earth!! And so he transformed into a huge time bomb. And then something happened and then Cell returned, as "Ultra Perfect Cell," and because of his Saiyajin cells, was stronger than ever!! Gohan blasted back into SSJ2 and ended up sacrificing a vital part of himself for Vejita.

Minutes later, we witnessed the biggest Kamehameha batte EVER!!! Gokou spiritually helped Gohan blast Cell into nothing, saving the Earth, once again.

Cell later returned during the Majin Buu saga in Hell, he, as with all of Gokou's enemies, was betting on Buu. And then he made a real return in DBGT, but it was pretty stupid and I don't want to lower your awesome feelings for Cell. Leave it to DBGT to ruin everyone's great reputation in the DB universe...
