Dr. Holzman's mission behind creating the Institute of Holistic Health
was to develop a center for creative human change. The concept was based
on the idea that traditional psychology alone cannot allow people to heal
in a way that encourages self love, self esteem, and self awareness. The
underlying premise to the holistic approach was that as humans we must
have a means by which we can merge mind, body and spirit to be a
fully integrated human being. The result of this whole integration is to
enhance the quality of life in an environment of serenity, warmth and
unconditional love. The nature of the work done at the Institute of Holistic Health is kind
and loving.
In her work as a psychologist, Dr. Holtzman discovered that the basis of
analysis is about looking at and investigating the problem. She soon
realized her time would be better spent and more effective by acknowledging
the problem and spending most of the time in the solution. She also
believes that spiritual and emotional breakdown is at the root of
every illness.
Dr. Holtzman believes that we create everything in our lives:
spiritually, emotitonally,and physically. There's a spiritual and
emotional reason for every illness. She contends that low self-esteem
and hating one's self is a spiritual malady. This self-hate looks like
depression and anxiety and other physical dis-ease.
The work done at the Institute of Holistic Health combines Eastern
philosophy, Louise Hay principles, and reiki, since blocked energy
contributes to people's illness. Dr. Holtzman works with people suffering
from everything from anxiety to cancer. It is her life's work to help people
discover the spiritual principles that will help them manifest health,
love and all of the other wonderful things the Universe intended for us.
