L.M. Montgomery has written many wonderful books. They are very well written. Her characters are so real that you would recognize them if you meet them on the street. I still like to read them whenever I want to take a trip to Prince Edward Island. All children should read Anne of Green Gables at least.
The rest are also worth reading. However, I think that some of these books should be read only by older children.. I haven't let my eleven-year-old niece read some of these yet. I have made a note by those that I would save for someone who is sixteen or older. Each parent has to make his or her own decision. I would recommend a parent read the ones I have marked before allowing younger children to read them. You may disagree with me, but it is better safe than sorry.
