About the Milliner: Cathy Springs has a lingering passion for history, the arts, antiques, vintage clothing and the Brontes. She is classically trained as a painter with a degree in Fine Arts, and has been principle costume designer for San Diego Ballet. She uses Old World millinery techniques in each creation and lovingly hand-dyes, blocks and trims her hats combining the finest quality new and vintage materials.
