Opening Night - August 18th 1975. It has been Elvis' shortest stand in Vegas, only five shows were performed before everything was cancelled due to illness, a fan has filmed some parts of this performance with sound, this footage has circulated since the late seventies and is an excellent one too, Elvis seemed in a very good form although he has put some extra weight since the May-June 1975 tour. On that show he sung one of the best version ever of " My Boy ", a very powerful " How Great Thou Art " and was really moving a lot on " Polk Salad Annie ", overall it was an excellent show and can only wish for obtaining a 'soundboard ' of that show.

Elvis foolin' around while singing " Love Me " during the opening show, fans were giving him all sorts of gift and on certain occasions he used some of them on stage. At the end of " Polk Salad Annie " (a very wild version with Elvis moving more than the usual at the end of the song) he was out- of- breathe and decided to sit down in front of Ron Tutt's drums, a few minutes later a lady offered him something he couldn't refused.
