(click above for article on Pythonic Wicca) The Pythonic tradition is based on fundamentals taken from more "traditional" Wicca with a good eclectic blend from Cunningham, Buckland, Starhawk, &c. We also found that among the more traditional ways of practicing magick, that there was a source of power raising left vertually untapped by modern wiccans, HUMOR! Using laughter and mirth, we have raised energy for prosperity rituals, housing, and depression banishment. Although the founding coven is no more, the tradition lives on, as former members incorporate it into their new covens. I'm an Artist (as stated above, I've designed a Tarot Deck). My old art gallery was deleted, but I finally got around to putting a new one up on Tripod. To see examples of some of my artwork on-line, just click the bannor below.
I am also an author. I've finally co-authored a fantasy book, entitled, "Blacksent: Book of the Umbra". Only 20+ years in the making. For more on that, just click onto my Author's Page. The Crafters Coven was formed Sept 11, 1992.They joined CoG (Covenent of the Goddess) in the year 2000 and was one of the founding members of the Michigan Local Council of CoG. The Local Council was called M.A.G.I.C. (Michigan Area Groups In CoG) and was approved by CoG's Grand Council in 2001. In that same year I was voted to the CoG National Board as it's Recorder (fancy name for secretary) and re-elected the following year (So, I ran unopposed). In 2003, or shortly thereafter, the Local Council was disbanded due to insufficent member covens.
For those who wish more information on the Crafters Coven, I give you this link to the webpage. The Crafters was founded on September 11, 1992 and gave their last public ritual for Spring Equinox of 2003, at said ritual The Crafters disbanded. Strangely, I still get inquires about how to join.
I've gone on to co-found a new coven in 2006, with my now wife, Mara. This one is called Phoenix Circle, which held it's own original Ostara ritual for the Federation of Circles and Solitaires on March 25, 2006. It grew out of a study group called Seeker's Web. I look forward to seeing where it goes from here. I've also included a new links page to help people find some of the pagan stuff they always look for (ie, the celebs among the Pagan community and some of the better known orgs). Just click below to go there.
For those who want to learn more about Wicca and things related, I've compiled a recommended book list. By no means complete, just books I'm familiar with and, well, recommend. This list is up-dated every now and then, and includes indicators for what is required reading for different degrees within the Pythonic tradition. The latest up-date being March 28, 2006. Just click on the link below to get there. And we said something about humor. Well, I guess some people need examples of that so here are a few extra links to click on to find some jokes. AND AND

The Federation of Circles and Solitares is where I do most of my public works right now. I was voted in as one of their elected clergy as of Samhain 2006, and my wife, Mara became legally ordained by them in 2007. They joined the Crafters for their last annual Lammas Campout and hosted their very last public ritual, Ostara(2003). Phoenix Circle (my new coven) just did an all new Ostara ritual (2006) did the Federation's public Samhain ritual that same year. In 2007, Phoenix Circle will be doing the Lammas ritual. The Federation is a fine group of pagans from the "down river" area of Metro-Detroit. They hold public rituals on all the major sabbots and host a pagan chat night every Thursday evening. They are going through some location changes right now, so any updates can be found on thier webpage at www.focasmi.org. Just click here. That way you can know where and when their events are.
ConVocation is a pagan conference held in Febuary in Michigan, it has lot's of workshops and rituals all held at a local Hotel (the Troy Hilton) set within a 4 day weekend. For more information on ConVocation click on the link to MEC below. This year, 2007, I'll have some of my artwork in the art show. Hopefully I'll get some of it scanned and up in my gallery soon. In more personal news, at Imbolc (2003) I recieved my 2nd degree initiation in the Georgian Tradition with the Circle of Glas Dracorum. If you want more information on any event you can e-mail me at the below address. Please do not expect a responce on the day of the event, cause (duh!) I won't be here, I'll be there. A while back the Crafters (my former coven) came up with the Manifesto of the Unwelcome, a bit of humor based on people one would rather not show up at public pagan eventsManifesto, just newly added to the list of links in the previous column. This Manifesto has not been adopted for events hosted by other groups, such as FOCAS. (Though, why not is a mystery to me) So, I'm updating this page to show all the new things going on.
This is a picture of me with Rachael Watcher, the 1999 CoG National Recorder. For those worried about such things, I do have Rachael's permission to post this picture here. Word to others, only post pictures or names of persons with permission of the people involved.
This shot of me was taken by the Detroit News.
