~~ Education ~~

All of us have stronger talents in some areas than others, but the public school system restricts the strengths and emphasizes the weaknesses. What happens to a 6 year old that is at the third grade level of science, the second grade level of math, and the first grade level of reading? A mass system like government school is incapable of providing all that each child needs.

~~ Socialization ~~

Children are able to be with people of all ages, not just a restricted group of people with whom they have nothing more in common than age. Does anyone expect children to learn math or history from peers? Of course not, and socialization is a skill that needs to be taught by example of adults, not playground time with other children.

~~ Family Closeness ~~

Family time together is limited enough in our fast-paced modern life. If a child spends 14 hours awake each day, more than half of those hours are spent away from home, sitting in a square room, isolated from "real life". Add on another two hours of homework each day, and you start to wonder why the family is growing apart. Who would you rather have influence your child.. a family of people that love the child, or a faceless elected official concerned more with the societal acceptance of homosexuality and childhood condom use? Let's bring children back to a childhood of innocence.
