Chi Lam entered the Hong Kong music industry when he joined Fitto Records and released his first CD with Maple Hui in 1991. They did many duets together, of which Modern Love Story is the most popular. Eventually, Chi Lam and Maple separated to follow their own career paths. Chi Lam is currently under contract with EMI. His 1997 release I Love You Too has enjoyed great popularity worldwide, as the title song itself has topped numerous musical charts.
