School Project New Zealand
All schools in New Zealand will be equipped with the latest software offerings by MICROSOFT in a deal between the NZ Ministry of Education and MICROSOFT. More about this deal can be found at the offical web site of the New Zealand Ministry of Education at: http://www.minedu.govt.nz
This means however that huge resources of software are set free at all schools in New Zealand - adding to the already existing piles of software purchased in the past and software donated to schools. Most of this will become obsolete for the schools - but is so urgently needed in disadvantaged areas and developing countries of our planet !
We are starting this week to approach the first schools in the Auckland area to introduce them to the idea to donate their obsolete software to someone who really could make good use of it. Over time we will approach ALL schools in New Zealand but also other countries.
In the space below we will bring some statistics about this project, how many schools have been approached, how many have donated something to the project etc.
There are NO costs involved for schools to donate their surplus software incl. license to another school somewhere in the world that could make good use of it (all can be done over the Ineternet).
We will also issue an extra leaflet / page how
this can be done.
