Last updated 5/10/00, my last day of finals and, incidentally, not a very good one either. But I digress . . . Ladies and gentlemen, several new haikus for Lu Chen (Bravo! Bravo!)
This page is dedicated to the artistry of Guo Zhengxin. You go, Guo!
Walkingcow's Highly Irreverent Page of Skater Haiku
Welcome to Walkingcow's Highly Irreverent Page of Skater Haiku (and other poetry) This page is dedicated to the brilliant poetry you and other persons spontaneously create after seeing, say, Ilia Kulik's yellow shirt. If you would like to learn how to create your own brilliant haikus visit Haiku Workshop. Rhyming poems and free verse are also encouraged very much. Please e-mail me your poetry by clicking on the e-mail address at the bottom of the page. Do not forget to credit your poetry and write which skater it is about, because if your poem mentions a "Katarina" I may not know if you are talking about Katarina Witt or Katarina Limichuk Burgerooni, the ladies singles champion of Prussia in 1623. Also, write if you would like to have your e-mail address posted.

A Haiku to Nicole Bobek
Oh Whoa is me.
Nicole has toppled over.

Let us all strive for this same level of excellence.
And extra points to anyone who can find a rhyming word for Zagorudniuk.
If you are a big fan of a certain skater and are just browsing through this site Walkingcow is aware that you probably do not care to read haiku that is not exactly nice to that certain skater. Thus the "Wizard of Oz" Color Coding System. Just remember that:
green = the color of the Wicked Witch of the West's face = mean to Dorothy = not so nice
red = the color of Dorothy's ruby slippers = pretty = nice
blue = the color of the sky = who cares? = absolutely neutral
