The film opens in 28 selected theaters around the country on July 16th, 1999. It opens nationwide in an additional 800 theaters July 30th and another 1,000 will be added on August 6. One of the advance screening theaters is here in Dallas, the Lowes Inwood. I haven't had the chance to see it yet but I'm hoping to make time next week. I don't go out to the movies very often but I'm really looking forward to seeing this one. There are only a handful of movies that have ever scared me but TBWP sounds like it's going to be a heart-stopping mind bender.

7/20/99: I've decided that Tuesday evening, the 27th, will be my viewing time for TBWP. I'll be putting my comments and thoughts here afterwards so check back to see my review.

8/1/99: I finally got the dossier scanned but it's almost 1:00 in the morning so it should be up tomorrow as well as more pictures. Also, by request, a FAQ section will be coming soon.

8/2/99: I was hoping to get the dossier up today but things happened. Tomorrow for sure. I have a few more pictures to post as well. I heard that TBWP made about $30 million over the weekend. Awesome!

8/3/99: Man, this computer is a piece of.........well, I'll leave it at that. I'm still trying to get the dossier online. Today I added the Update page, FAQ page, more links and more pics.

8/4/99: Well, I just spent 4 hours working on the Dossier pages only to get them all finished......... and my computer locked up. So I'm going to do some yoga, calm down and then have a nervous breakdown and jump off a cliff. (A cliff in Dallas?) I REALLY HOPE to get what I can of the Dossier online tomorrow. Sorry about the delay.

8/6/99: I added a few more pictures today.
I just got done watching Heather on Jay Leno (Damn, Letterman is so much better.) She looked great! She wore a low-cut light blue dress. I'll be searching the net for pictures to post ASAP.

8/8/99: I went and saw the movie again last night. Still awesome! I also changed the Comments page today. The guestbook decided to freak today and erase all the entries. Anyone feel the presence of the Blair Witch?

8/9/99: Well, my pc is feeling ill so I will be putting it in the shop tomorrow indefinitely, but hopefully not for long.  I will be able to reply to comments via email but no updates can be made until my P.O.S. is back and all better. Until then.......

8/29/99: Can you believe it? I'm back! I ended up getting a whole new computer. Anyone else hate Packard Bell? But the new one is working great. Today I updated the Homepage, FAQ page, adding a making-of-the-movie timeline, and the Comments page.

Well, since I've been gone, I've seen the movie once more (3 times now) and Mike was on The Tonight Show with Heather and Josh in the audience. NEWSFLASH! (1) The next installment could be out as soon as next summer. (2) The movie will be re-released in October 2 weeks before Halloween, which is the day the video goes on sale (MSRP $22.98).

9/1/99: I had to change the Comments page today but you can still send me email.

9/7/99: I added a few pictures, some on the Spoiler Page and added to the Comments Page. The movie has made over $130 million so far.

10/15/99: Well, I've been away from the page for a while. The video is scheduled to be released on Oct 22nd. You can pre-order it at Blairwitchdirect or Amazon. The movie is scheduled for release in London next week. Heather will be in a movie with Freddie Prinze Jr.  Changes were made today on the comments and video pages. 10/16/99: I added a lot of pictures today. To keep the download time short, I split it into 2 pages.

10/22/99: I bought the movie today at Blockbuster for the bargain price of $14.99. We watched The Curse of the Blair Witch first (taped off the Sci-Fi Channel) to get in the mood. How was it the 4th time around? It still gave me chills!

7/15/00:  I've been away for quite a while but made minor changes over the past months. I changed the main page adding a little Java for the hover effect on the buttons. Cool, huh? There was a great article about Blair Witch sequel a few months ago. I will make changes to the page as the sequel gets closer and more information is available.

7/16/00: The Blair Witch Project comes on Showtime tonight followed by The Burkittisville 7, an original movie about TBWP. I'll write more about it later. I found some great info about TBWP2 and TBWP3 and The Burkittisville 7. It includes a link to a great article in USA today back on 6/9/00. Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 is scheduled for release on Oct. 27.

7/30/00: I saw Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 trailer on Upcoming Movies on E! Channel. It's the same trailer you can see at blairwitch.com. It doesn't show much about the upcoming movie but what would you expect? This is the last update to this page. It's been great making this site and I hope you enjoy(ed) it.

6/23/01: The site continues to have 30 to 50 visitors a week. Just further proof that TBWP was more than a movie, it will remain a cult movie for years to come.

1/15/03: It's been 18 months since my last update and this site is getting hits almost every day. The Blair Witch lives on!

11/04/04: Almost 22 months since the last update and the site is still getting 30-50 hits each week and visitors are still sending comments. Amazing how the Blair Witch lives on! Current Hits - 24,988

8/31/05: About 10 months since the last update and the site keep going strong, still receiving hits almost daily and people wanting to comment about the movie; check out the Update page. Current Hits - 25,262
