This is one of the first times mom and dad got to hold Ashley. We did not get to hold her for several months due to the large number of IV lines and the rigid oscillating respirator tube. In this picture she is now temporarily on a standard respirator (which has the flexible tubes shown in the picture). She alternated between the two types of respirators until she became stronger.
