Cougars are rarely seen these
days even in the wilderness of North America. This one at
least can purr like a house cat, except a lot louder. These
photos were taken at the Metro Toronto Zoo. I normally try
to capture images that make the creatures appear to be in a
natural habitat. Sometimes that is impractical, but parts of
the manmade environment can be used to convey information
about the animal, such as the size of its paws relative to
the boards it's resting on.
