Spinney: The Freddie wouldn't go for it. He doesn't trust me Mulder: He's got no reason to. Neither do I. |
Yet he'll bet his survival on the man. You've gotta love that Mulderlogic sometimes. Nice trip to the forest indeed. I know I'm not going camping any time soon.
Letting Spinney run off with the last of the gas. Not only did he let an admitted saboteur run off unescorted with the last of the gas needed for the generator but he didn't bother to tell anyone of Spinney's departure. In addition, when Mulder asked Spinney why he didn't tell anyone he was leaving Spinney says it was because the Forest Ranger wouldn't go for it. Mulder replies that Moore has no reason to trust him and neither does he [Mulder.] So for Mulder to let the man leave with the gas is especially bone-headed. Nice way to make decisions. Too bad you didn't bother to consult any of the people you were with instead of making an extremely important decision unilaterally. Punk!
Getting mad at Scully when she pointed out the fact that he made a decision affecting the group on his own. This display of temper is even more egregious given the fact that he asked the question that solicited the comment in the first place.
