Mulder: What happened to me? Scully: You did something incredibly stupid. Mulder: What did I do? Scully: You went looking for a ship, Mulder. In the Bermuda Triangle. Mulder: Say that again? |
It's a damn shame when you do something and later when told what you did you react in a manner which says "what?" Perhaps Mulder should use this as some kind of barometer of Punkishness. If you imagine someone telling you what you did later and your reaction is to think "what?" it probably isn't something you ought to be doing.
Didn't Mulder ever hear of the buddy system? There's a reason why one shouldn't go out on the water alone. Mulder's lucky he didn't drown.
Mulder needs to think first and ask questions later. If he had perhaps he would have learned a bit about his situation without getting his ass kicked so many times.
That Monica Lewinski joke was ill advised.
After hearing the radio broadcast he approaches the 1939 Scully and tries to talk to her as though she were the 1998 Scully. Of course in doing this he forgets three major obstacles to the endeavor. 1. He ditched the '98 Scully to go on this ghost ship hunt in the first place. 2. It's 1939 and the Scully he found there may not be anything like the Scully he ditched. 3. He's wearing the pilfered Nazi uniform and she may not want to talk to someone she thinks is a Nazi in the first place.
Not having learned a damn thing from his unsuccessful attempts to talk to the 1939 Scully, he tries to talk to the 1939 Skinner as though he were the 1998 Skinner.
"Trust No One" remember? It was very smooth blabbing the information about the scientist to the friggin' spy. The man spoke German and was vague about the translations. Shouldn't this have been a friggin' clue that he may not be trustworthy?
What the hell is that John Brown crap?
Grabbing and kissing the 1939 Scully: In some places its considered a sexual assault. At least he knew he deserved to be decked.
What the hell is wrong with Mulder? How could he think that there was a remote chance in hell that Scully would take his declaration of love seriously when he's in a hospital bed probably under the influence of some kind of drug?
